Q: Why is this advertised as 4 net carbs when it’s actually 15 per serving?

submitted by Tracey - 2 years ago
  • A: 1g of fiber & 10g of allulose

submitted byMeatandcarbs - 2 years ago

Q: Someone explain how they get to 4 net carbs??

submitted by jeniw - 1 year ago
  • A: It seems that allulose is not a sugar alcohol, but is a “rare sugar”. Allulose, monk fruit, and stevia do not act like regular sugars in the body, so they are not required to be on a nutrition label and are subtracted from total carbs to get net carbs.

submitted byAnnaRose - 11 months ago
  • A: When you are calculating carbs in foods that contain sugar alcohols (allulose), you subtract their amount along with the fiber to get the net carbs. In this case, the allulose is 10g and the fiber is 1g. So 10g plus 1g from 15g carbs is 4g net carbs. Most nutrition labels show the sugar alcohols (there are many different ones). Here they are showing them in a separate area. It is very confusing.

Q: In the ingredients section (adds a trivial amount of sugar) is listed several times so how can this be lableled as no sugar?

submitted by Consumer - 2 years ago
  • A: The same reason that products are allowed to be sold in the US as trans-fat free yet still contain partially hydrogenated oils.

submitted byLocutusOfBorg - 1 year ago
  • A: Because people get away with misleading information

submitted byCt - 2 years ago

Q: how many servings per box? what size is a serving?

submitted by msozarks - 4 years ago
  • A: Hi there! Each box contains about 5 servings. A single serving is about 1 cup (37g).

Better flavor but it coats your teeth and leaves an aftertaste. Not worth the money.

    Fruity cereal.

Like it because I’m diabetic, doesn’t spike my sugar levels and it’s a great source for my protein. Does not taste like cardboard.

    Chemical taste

This is terrible! It has no crunch and is soft and kind of gummy that leaves a film on your teeth. I didn’t even put milk on it before I discovered how bad it is. I thought it had a chemical taste to it. It would probably be complete mush in milk. I threw a $9 box of cereal out after eating a few bites.

    Love!!!

This is the best cereal in my opinion! It tastes exactly like froot loops do, except without all the nasty ingredientes in those! Only thing I would beware is the cereal does get stuck on your teeth a little bit after eating. Nothing terrible but that’s honestly the only downside to it. Apart from that is stays crunchy, tastes amazing and is quite filling!

    Deserves All the stars!

My husband would give this cereal hundreds of stars, all the stars. 5 stars, just doesn't seem like enough. It tastes amazing, like you are being naughty to eat it, but it's loaded with protein and none of the bad stuff! We usually order in bundles of 6 or 8 boxes, and the fruity cereal must be at least half of the order.

    Yea no

I finished my bowl and threw the box away. No one should have to endure this in the name of protein.

    Inedible Cereal

(I tried the cocoa flavor). This tastes disgusting and extremely artificial. I could only take a few bites before I had to stop eating altogether. The protein flavor is extremely pungent and lingers in your mouth forever. The cereal isn't even crunchy either. Completely inedible in my opinion.

    so good

I have to stop from eating a whole box at once. if you can follow the cup/serving, you get like 5 bowls a week. But if you don't, you can do this box in about 2.5 days. I think these are the best flavor.
