Q: Why is this advertised as 4 net carbs when it’s actually 15 per serving?

submitted by Tracey - 2 years ago
  • A: 1g of fiber & 10g of allulose

submitted byMeatandcarbs - 2 years ago

Q: Someone explain how they get to 4 net carbs??

submitted by jeniw - 1 year ago
  • A: It seems that allulose is not a sugar alcohol, but is a “rare sugar”. Allulose, monk fruit, and stevia do not act like regular sugars in the body, so they are not required to be on a nutrition label and are subtracted from total carbs to get net carbs.

submitted byAnnaRose - 6 months ago
  • A: When you are calculating carbs in foods that contain sugar alcohols (allulose), you subtract their amount along with the fiber to get the net carbs. In this case, the allulose is 10g and the fiber is 1g. So 10g plus 1g from 15g carbs is 4g net carbs. Most nutrition labels show the sugar alcohols (there are many different ones). Here they are showing them in a separate area. It is very confusing.

submitted byAnnaRose - 6 months ago

Q: In the ingredients section (adds a trivial amount of sugar) is listed several times so how can this be lableled as no sugar?

submitted by Consumer - 2 years ago
  • A: Because people get away with misleading information

submitted byCt - 2 years ago
  • A: The same reason that products are allowed to be sold in the US as trans-fat free yet still contain partially hydrogenated oils.

submitted byLocutusOfBorg - 1 year ago

Q: how many servings per box? what size is a serving?

submitted by msozarks - 3 years ago
  • A: Hi there! Each box contains about 5 servings. A single serving is about 1 cup (37g).

    No for me

Does not taste at all like Honey Nut Cheerios, so if you’re buying it as a replacement, don’t. Honestly I forced myself to finish it but I would buy it again. Has a honey flavor but not really. I prefer the fruity one instead from this brand.

I have tried the other flavors and they are pretty good, will buy more when I run out. I personally think this one is awful. Sorry Magic Spoon!

    Title

This cereal tastes great! I really wish magic spoon would use a real service like UPS, USPS, or FedEx. They use ontrac, who tends to lose packages frequently. It's better to purchase in a store than ordering online because of this.

    Finally!!!

I'm so excited they finally got this flavor. I was buying boxes of the graham cracker flavor, chocolate flavor, and marshmallow flavor when they came out at different times and saving them to mix together myself. This is much easier and so tasty!!

    Not Very Flavorful

    Never again.

Absolutely horrible flavor and caused Gastrointestinal issues almost immediately. Be aware this is whey protein and a bunch of garbage ingredients, which may be problematic for some with GI issues. Gross. Never again.

    Good but needs Marshmallows

I like the S’Mores flavor, but I was expecting it to have those tiny crunchy freeze-dried marshmallows, like they have in Lucky Charms and hot cocoa packets. If they’re worried that the marshmallows would not stay crunchy, maybe they could put a zippered pouch of marshmallows in the box, so that you could add your own marshmallows each time, and then keep the bag sealed so they won’t lose their crunch.

    Worst cereal I've ever tasted

I tried this and the cinnamon one and they both have the aftertaste of rotted cardboard… the flavoring tastes nothing like the description and this is way overpriced. I paid almost $11 for a cereal to taste like dirt. Please save your money and do not buy this.

S'mores in a bowl for breakfast!

This is a tasty cereal but not my favorite. It seems like it's hard to pull off all three flavors of a smore into one cereal bite. It's good but you don't get all of the smores' flavors in one bite necessarily. I'd buy it again but there are other MS flavors that outrank this one from Magic Spoon.
