Broke within a few months of use!
I bought this for my son for Christmas and I was excited because he really loves space and Magna-Tiles. Unfortunately, after only a few months of use the shuttle fell apart. The blue cover on the shuttle broke and we cannot use it anymore. Anytime he would try to fly it the front portion of the shuttle would fall off because the magnets were not very strong. The hinges on the shuttle also are weak and have to constantly be reapplied. I was very disappointed in the quality of this product. I typically love Magna-Tiles and their products but this one was not up to its standards.

Dream combo!
It was a birthday gift for our friend's 3 year old boy who loves magna tiles AND space! I was very excited to see Target offers this play set. Unfortunately, I am not able to comment on its quality because I was not able to open the gift with him. However, I trust MAGNA-TILES and it is the only brand I would go for if I need any magnetic building toys

Color options 4 those w more than 1 child.
My 4 yo grandson absolutely loves his space set. However, his 3 yo sister loves it just as much. I cannot relay how awesome it would be to have a couple color options. I refuse to buy another blue one as they fight over sharing the 1 they have. If I get another blue 1, they'll just fight over whose blue 1 is whose. Imagine 2 happy youngins enjoying going on missions to the moon, Mars & the planet that wears rings, lol, in their different color "space ships". We have all the other MAGNAs except the travel sets. Just wish for another color, not even pink, because I'm referring to a boy & girl. Just different colors.

The pieces aren't strong enough to make the items shown on the box - like the rover - it literally doesn't work. Additionally the top of the shuttle breaks off its hinges every time we open it. It doesn't come with a booklet of ideas. We are disappointed.
