How to Dye (Bleach Optional)

Clarify hair with a shampoo like Prepare to Dye® to remove buildup and prep strands for even color absorption.
Towel-dry completely—dye works best on clean, dry hair.
Apply color thoroughly, saturating each section from roots to ends.
Let process for 30+ minutes (longer = more vibrant).
Rinse with cool water only—skip shampoo to help color last.

I’m not sure why this has such bad reviews?? Yes, it’s definitely more of a red brown not a cool brown by any means-similar to mahogany I want to say? But it’s still very pretty. I applied mine on top of a red base and still feel it turned out well. Wouldn’t say it stains anymore than regular semi dye lol and rinsed out better than red semi dyes do .. if you ever dyed your hair red, you know what I’m talking about. Anyways, worth a shot in my opinion, would purchase again!

I wish I could give this zero stars! DO NOT BUY THIS!!! It stains your hands through gloves and will wreck your bathroom washing it out. I followed the directions and it still didn’t do anything to my hair.

not exactly brown
Not exactly brown or black.. its more of a red.. and its a bit hard to stick to hair. I had blonde hair when dying it and it still had a hard time sticking and left it "orange" rather than red. Could've been user error though but it holds a lot of pigment its just more of a really dark reddish purple than brown, so i recommend if thats what you want!

This is more red than dark brown
I hate to leave this review but this is not a dark, espresso brown, this is a dark brown with an incredibly strong red tint to it, almost like a dark maroon color that’s looks very fiery red in the sunlight.
