A: Mine came the same way, there is a screw end on the middle piece so it doesn’t fit together.

A: Monica: The diameter the finial is 2.5 inches and extends 2.7 inches out on each side. So, for the 36"-66" rod size, the overall width with finials, if fully extended, would be 71.4 inches, and 124.4 inches for the 66"-120" rod size. We hope this helps!

Q: I should have read the qymuestiins before I made my purchase. The center rod extension is too thick and is the same size as the larger rod so it does not extend at all. Why hasn't this been resolved??

A: SD Design: The 66"-120" Marble curtain rod size should contain 2 larger diameter rod sections that fit over the single smaller diameter rod section, allowing them to telescope together and adjust to fit over your window. Please ensure the finials are unscrewed and removed first. Then connect the rod sections together, adding curtains to the assembled rod, before lastly reattaching the finials. We hope this helps! I really like these curtain rods. They are very sturdy and can handle really heavy curtains. The quality is really good. They are beautiful and add an element of elegance to the space. I really like the brass one; although I would call them gold as the color is more yellow than brown. I would recommend them to others.

Curtain get stuck on rod extender

Gray: Thank you for your feedback. Based on the limited amount of information provided, the issue could be the connection point of the telescoping rod. If your curtains are not easily moving across the rod, it may be that the rod pocket or grommet diameter is too small for this rod diameter. To ensure curtains can freely move across this 7/8" diameter rod, it is recommend a minimum of a 1/2 inch be added to the rod diameter to determine which grommet diameter or rod pocket size is needed for your curtain. In other words, a minimum interior diameter of 1-3/8" for a grommet or a 1-1/2" rod pocket is needed, depending on which curtain type you prefer. We hope this helps!
Filial connection points manufactured wrong

What others have said here is correct. The telescoping poles are manufactured incorrectly. There are three poles: two bigger in circumference and one smaller. However, the filial connections are at the end of one of the big poles and the one small pole - therefore there is no way to slide the smaller pole in between the two bigger ones and have the filial connection exposed at the end of the smaller pole. I have seen customer service responding to this complaint from others, saying we’re setting it up incorrectly. That’s wrong. We all removed the filial bulbs as instructed, and are following instructions. But the filial connection points are placed on the wrong poles, making it impossible to extend the rods. Target, LISTEN to your customers when we are telling you there’s a problem. We’re not all inept!

Kelly SC: We're sorry you're experiencing issues with installing the Marble Rod. Each of the 3 rods included in the 66"-120" set are manufactured to have one end open and one end with a plug that a finial can be screwed into. The design allows the 3 rods to telescope, where each larger diameter rod fits over each end of the smaller diameter rod. When the 3 rods are assemble together, the plugged ends of the 2 larger diameter rods should appear on each end of the assembled rods, so that finials can be reattached. The look is nice overall however very disappointed with the assembly. Extender rod doesn’t connect to the outer rods. Had to make it work using duct tape smh.

The marble is gray and flat (as opposed to shiny) in appearance which some may like but we ordered a white marble curtain rod. The gold is definitely bright as opposed to antique and the finial bases are made of a gold plastic. The price for the product and quality control leave us very displeased w the product.

This road is fancy is and beautiful, the only issue I had was assembling it, I bought 10 rods and I wish target posted a video on how to assemble it. it took me forever to know I have to take out the ends to assemble it right. I first I thought it was the wrong design. besides that I highly recommend it.

Pretty, but not functional for extension

I ordered the longer length rod but the additional rod it came with to connect the two main rods had a closed end so I couldn't insert a rod into one end. We made it work with the two main rods but the finials are a lot closer together than I would like. We already installed it so I wasn't willing to uninstall it to return it. Would be nice if I could just get the right piece I need without removing and returning the whole thing.

We are sorry for the trouble you are having. The rod set DOES assemble without an issue. Per the instructions, the finial needs to be REMOVED from one of the rods before assembly starts. Once you do this, you will see that there are three telescoping rods. The finials ship this way for protection.

The color is more of a gold or a regular brass vs antique brass. I bought an antique brass lamp from target and wanted the colors to be coordinated and they weren’t. Marble end pieces are very nice and a bit heftier than I expected. Very nice piece of you aren’t as particular about the color as I am!

This particular curtain rod lays super crooked no matter how many times my husband adjusts it/tries to mess with it. Overall, it is an eyesore on the wall that I can’t unnotice. I’ll be returning it to the store. What a disappointment as it actually is a nice looking curtain rod.
