I really love this foundation, i could choose wehther i want to put alot of foundation or a small amount whichever way it was full coverage and when finished setting did not feel heavy on my skin. I like the texture because it was hydrating sort of and lightweight on the skin. However when i would wipe my lips with a napkin the up and down sides of my lips would wipe of some foundation evem after setting spray so i would be the whole day with my mouth area removed from my foundation.

I was surprised how much I liked this. I have a problem with makeup settling into my pores and wearing off around the pores, looking patchy, but this did not seem to have that problem. It really did stay! Only caveat is that because it is semi matte it is a bit drying. I already have some flaky dry skin patches from starting my trentonin regimen again. This is a little drying to the skin.

Maybelline, you don’t understand what you have done. Sometimes a foundation is more than makeup… it gives you the confidence to live a normal life. Your Superstay Matte foundation with the white cap enabled me to venture out of the house with confidence. It covered my facial scars and redness and STAYED PUT. I could make real connections with people and be present in conversations without being terrified that my foundation had slipped off the areas where I had lesions removed on my face. My career has improved because I no longer avoid public speaking and networking. I can go outside in the sun without being horrified that the bright light is exposing my scars. All that is gone now. This lilac cap version is absolute GARBAGE. It slides off in an hour. Covers nothing. I beg you - please bring back the old matte version! It was a miracle.

this new FORMULA is awful. I honestly cannot believe maybelline would do this to their customer base. I have used the old formula as my holy grail for 7 years. Only to find out when I went to go get a new bottle, they completely changed everything I and many other people loved about it. Used to give me a flawless finish but they changed the consistency from creamy to runny. This formula breaks down, creases, is really picky with primers, dries down weird. I have had elf products perform better than this new formula. It is sad because I am even combo skin, and this is simply just an awful product. They should have kept the old formula and made this in a new foundation if they wanted to do anything. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA and quit trying to fix what is not broke.

Lovely longwear foundation but we need more shades
This is such a lovely natural matte foundation! It has great coverage and actually lasts long. My only concern is the shade range. My go to shade is 356 warm coconut in the Fit Me Matte+Poreless but I had to get it in 355 Coconut since it was the closest but I still looked too orange. It would be great if they could add more shades like the Matte+Poreless line.

why why did you change the formula. The old one was thick and covered the flaws on the skin and lasted all day. This one does not cover anything. It is not mat at all, which I what I want and does not last at all either. why are most of the foundation now glossy???? Not everyone wants that look even though it may be in style for the youngsters out there. I would never again buy this foundation. Have to find another brand now. If you bring back the old formula, I will buy it again.

Oxidizes so bad!!
So I have been the same shade in foundation since high school, which is 112 in maybelline. It oxidized so bad it was like orange. There was a ring around my lips. You could see where it was like oxidizing and then where my actual skin was it was mortifying being in public like that.

I hate the new formula. The old one was my holy grail and was really special among all the drugstore options. It was matte with great coverage but it didn’t look drying or cakey…and it stayed all day even in Florida humidity without breaking apart. This new one is breaking apart on my face within an hour just being indoors. My face isn’t even as oily as it was when I was younger so I was a little shocked. So many foundations pander to this glowy trend now. Why couldn’t you leave one of the best matte formulas on the drugstore market for those of us who need it? The competitors don’t need as nice. So frustrated.

I have combo acne prone skin with some redness. Foundation always breaks down around my nose within a few hours and I am so impressed at the staying power this has. It lasts all day and looks the same. It is not matte- it has a real skin look to it and is so lightweight. My only complaint is I can’t find the perfect shade so mix two together- but this is probably best so I can adjust with a tan. 10/10!! I’m confused by the negative reviews about the old formula but never tried it to know.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised for a drugstore brand. It goes on easily blends. Well has nice coverage and stays all day like it says.
