it is terribly made, the pieces barely fit together and some of the major pieces of the build do not fit together, DO NOT BUY!!! Stick to the Lego brand and you will be much happier.

The pieces DO NOT fit together, DO NOT buy this. I have built many sets from cars,star wars, to van Gough's starry night, Lego brand knows what they are doing and builds everything correctly, the one time I buy Mattel and it is nothing but issues and does not fit together correctly. The pieces they send are to long to go onto the pieces they are supposed to making it so you cannot complete the set.

Bought this set as a gift for my brother, was a couple days after 30 day return and found some missing pieces. Would be cool to have the full build and collect it. Lost all my money on this and can't return, already messaged Microsoft and they won't do anything since I bought from target.

The idea is great but it's near impossible to build. None of the internal peices connect to the green part without everything falling apart. Even after you get part of it in it's just going to break later on.

The build wasn't great. Some pieces was to hard to connect. The Quality of the blocks felt cheap. Some directions in manual needs to be tweaked. Overall for me was a gift but if I had to get it myself it is an easy pass. Or Wait for it to go sale not work 150 bucks.

Loved this design and really wanted it to work. I didn’t realize it wasn’t Lego until I opened the box. And now I understand why Lego dominates. The piece for Mega don’t connect as smooth. Once we got 1/3 of the way some of the sections didn’t snap in place as designed because they were like 2mm off. We also had piece missing, and unlike Lego where you can easily order off of the website- the mega website didn’t have most of the parts and they add added a note to say they are so busy they may not get parts to you at all - slight different words on website. We really wanted this to work. Even took it apart and had another person to try to ensure it wasn’t a build error. Thank goodness for Target who allows returns because I would have cried to throw this money away.

I took it apart at sections 8 and 9, 3 times to make sure it wasn't user error. I have a whole on the side where I THOUGHT I could continue on now I'm at packs 13 and 14, step 187 and I only have on of the pieces shown. This is a mess, please don't buy and spend your time to be disappointed

I'm really into realistic building block sets. So, I was super excited to get this set for my husband's game room. I even drove to another city to get it. I started with the controller and the game no issues. But when I started the actual Xbox, I found I was missing a piece. I took apart the section of 8 and 9 Three times to make sure it wasn't user error. I ended up leaving a spot empty hoping I could still complete it. BUT, now I'm at the beginning of 13 and 14 literally, step 187 and another piece is missing, please don't buy this set with high hopes of completing it.

This was very nice very nostalgic. I liked it I like the concept I thought it was very great. I just wish Xbox would’ve gone with Lego, rather than mega block reason being this was very difficult to build to an extent. The pieces they did go together some pieces were harder to put together than others. Some pieces would fall off on the green parts when you were actually building the inside of the Xbox because you know the way it was just I guess put together could’ve been a user error. I don’t know, but all in all if you don’t have patience or you’re someone who just doesn’t like consistently tweaking things I would not recommend this. I will say this they gave me a headache and I learn to not throw this against the wall several times, like I wanted to, when it would not work or fail apart.

The only issue I have is that the green pieces where the “hardware” is based are prone to disconnecting. There were several times I had to reconstruct entire modules.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the MEGA Showcase Microsoft Xbox 360 Collector's Building Set as part of the Play, Rate & Review program. This set is amazing for not only nostalgia, but gaming and Xbox fans everywhere! This is a 3/4 scale set, designed to look like the original model Xbox 360 when built. The building process of this kit was not difficult at all, consisting of 360 steps to build the console, complete with hidden easter eggs, a controller, as well as a miniature copy of Halo 3! There are even parts of the kit that light up! It took me just shy of 5 hours to build it overall, including some minor mistakes that I had to go back and take things apart to fix, but the instructions were clear enough for me to understand with no issues. Once finished, there is a hidden lever under the hard drive that allows you to pop open the top of the console to see inside at the easter eggs and light up parts, such as a tiny Cortana and her chip from Halo. Inside the Halo 3 case once finished, is a miniature look-a-like of the disc that you can pop into the drive of the Xbox once you remove the top as well. The controller, and the power button on the front of the Xbox both have lights as well when pressed. Finally, you get to make a tiny achievement box for building an Xbox! Overall, it was a ton of fun to build and is amazing to display with my gaming collectibles!

My son and I built this together mostly there were harder sections I choose to do alone to spare us both getting frustrated. Pros: Lights up! Amazing! To scale also amazing really well done The controller feels super great to hold even for a few seconds. This was a lovely little project that allows you to get nostalgic over old times. Cons: the colors in the book are not as accurately displayed as one would like. Some pieces just did not click together without a lot of force. Not pressure, force. While other just fall apart regardless of how much you press. All in all I wouldnt recommend for everyone but for someone whos an avid xbox fan this is a hit.
