A: Good day Kim! There is. Rest assured Mielle is formulated without drying alcohols. Those used in Mielle are known as fatty alcohols. They are derived from natural fats and oils and are known for their moisturizing and conditioning properties as well as helping maintain product quality.

A: Good Day Maven! The Souffle helps with semi definition. The Custard is for deeper definition and more hold. It also has a semi-gel like texture. Typically, if a type 3 curl maven wanted to use the Pom and Honey, they may prefer the Souffle. Type 4 curls can use either. I have 4c hair and I was pretty excited to try this coil sculpting custard but it’s pretty underwhelming and honestly terrible. i’ve gave this product multiple chances but it as it dries it continues to flake up and makes my hair look dirty and dandruffy. It does help my coils pop so I have tried using varying amounts and methods but it continues to have the same effect.

I have thick 3b/3c curls with coarse texture. I like for my curls to look nourished with a strong hold due to its tendency to frizz and appear dry. This holds my curl pattern with the perfect strength without being too stiff. There’s minimal “crunch” to the touch (I do prefer a little firmness so minimal to me may be too much for others) but it’s mostly soft and no residue on my hands after touching it unlike other creams or mousse. I find it holds for at least 24-36 hours after a wash which I’m totally okay with. I just wish it was cheaper considering how much product I use but it is worth the price overall.

I just cut my hair off a month ago to get rid of the relaxer, so I am new to the twa wash and go game. I've tried several mousses and gels. So far, I think this works better than anything else I've tried. I took off a star because the texture is kind of weird and takes some getting used to. And, it takes a lot of trial and error to use it effectively. The first time, I used it with the Mielle Max Hold Mousse. Big mistake, it was flaking all over the place and I had to rinse it out. The next time, I just used a tiny bit of Pomegranate leave in and the custard. I think I used too much because my hair was hard as a brick. BUT, the next day, I misted it with water and it looked great! It lasted 6 days before it started getting frizzy and it got nice and softer with each day. I'm still learning the right amount to use on my hair and how to pick it up so that it doesn't drip all over the place (I'm almost thinking of trying a pump bottle), but I've decided to buy more of this, This Custard is my new wash n go product.

Mid definition, no hold and definition doesn’t last. It also leaves a gumminess which then causes your hair to look mushy. Smells really good initially though.

I brought this product 3 weeks ago and it quickly became my new wash and go style. I use the mint and rosemary oil while my hair is wet and also after it dries so it's not crunchy. I really love this product

Bought this about a month ago. My daughter wanted to wear twists. She has long thick bushy hair that tangles very quickly and her shrinkage is unbelievable. The coil sculpting custard is a game changer. She can now wear twists and twist outs and have hang time with no tangles!

I was so happy to find a product that would make my 4C hair curly however I don’t like the white residue in leaves in my hair after a while. It’s very sticky and kind of gummy I hope in the future, they can do something about that but otherwise from that the product is amazing and it smells great.

My daughter and I have two different hair textures and porosity. She is a 4B and low porosity and I am 3B high porosity abs it's fantastic on both. The slip is fantastic for her when I braid her hair and I like the soft cast in my hair.
