Description
Grow and feed your favorite succulents with Miracle-Gro® Cactus, Palm & Citrus Potting Mix. This container mix is enriched with Miracle-Gro® Plant Food and features a fast-draining formula. Get beautiful, colorful results with this mixture of forest products, sphagnum peat moss, sand, and perlite. To use, start with a pot with a drain hole and fill 1/3 full with soil. Place the root ball of your plant in the soil and add more mix. Press lightly; water the plant and let drain. Let the soil dry to the touch between waterings. Do not allow plants to sit in drainage water. Repotting citrus annually to the next larger size container will encourage fruiting. We recommend wearing gardening gloves and washing hands after using this and other garden products. One 8 qt. bag of Miracle-Gro® Cactus, Palm & Citrus Potting Soil fills two 8-inch containers (amounts may vary based on the size of the root ball).

A: Contains forest products, sphagnum peat moss, sand, perlite, fertilizer(NPK: 0.06-0.02-0.04 with part of it polymer coated for timed release of nutrients) and a wetting agent. Actual contents or ratio of contents will vary for Georgia and New Hampshire.

Unfortunately, soils may become infested with insects while in storage or while they are waiting for sale. Q: My Christmas cactus soil was very wet. It soon dried out very quickly and turned hard I can't test it. I watered it until the water ran through and took a few limp ones off. No life. Do I repot it?

It drains quickly and retains moisture, helping your plants maintain their vibrant colors. It has the nutrients they need. I like that they have a special mix for each type of plant. The texture is good—well-draining and easy to work with—and the quantity in the bag was enough for my needs. It comes in the typical Miracle-Gro packaging, which is fine, though unfortunately still not recyclable. Overall, my plants seem to be doing well with it, and I’d likely buy it again. I’d just prefer if the packaging used more renewable or recyclable materials.

The drainage is solid and water doesn’t sit around like it does with regular potting soil. My plants actually started looking healthier after I switched to this. The mix feels light but not too loose. It has just the right texture and already includes plant food which saves an extra step. I didn’t have to add anything else. Some other mixes I’ve tried were either too chunky or stayed too wet. This one just works. I’d definitely buy it again.
