Q: Can the bottle be refilled?

A: Hi there, all our bottles are made from 100% recyclable HDPE plastic, and our pumps use recyclable PP material, so they can be placed in your regular plastic recycling bins and kept out of landfill. (Just be sure to rinse them out in the shower first!) Our bottles are also made from 20% recycled plastic, and we’re actively working to increase that percentage. While refillable pouches aren’t part of our range yet, we’re developing them to use up to 80% less plastic than a new bottle. We've also noted your feedback and will be sure to pass it along to our team.

A: Hi Sara, all MONDAY formulations except SMOOTH are gluten free. Our SMOOTH line includes wheat protein, which helps lock in moisture, smoothes frizz and defines curls and assists in the smoothing of frizz and breakage often caused by fibre damage. We recommend trying another line from our range if you’re intolerant to gluten.

Our SMOOTH Shampoo contains active ingredients, Wheat Protein and gentle naturals such as Avocado Oil to provide soft shape and shine for all hair types—especially those that are curly, wavy, frizzy or typically hard to manage. However, we'd suggest you pair it with our VOLUME Conditioner which contains active ingredients, Hydrolyzed Collagen and replenishing naturals such as Coconut Oil, Shea Butter and Macadamia Oil to lightly hydrate thin, fine and flat hair. A: Hi Makenzie, thanks for your question. We’ve received really great feedback from people with color-treated hair about MONDAY. It is safe to use, but our GENTLE line has the most mild cleansing system of all of our ranges, and also has the lowest percentage of fragrance, so has the lowest chance of your color fading unnecessarily. You can also try our newly launched COLOR PROTECT range. It is ideal for color-treated hair and it also helps refresh color, nourish and add shine. Team MONDAY x

A: Hi there, we generally recommend either SMOOTH or MOISTURE, as those have been formulated for hair that needs a little extra moisture and shape and they’re typically the favourite for people with curly hair types. Would not recommend. Dried out my scalp and made it extremely itchy to a point where I thought I had lice. Turns out it was just this shampoo and conditioner. Will never be using again.

I never write reviews, but I felt so compelled to to write this one. My 11 year old daughter begged me to buy this in March 2024, and I started using it as well. I loved that it made my hair so soft, but over the months it started thinning horribly. I’ve never dealt with this issue. It kept getting worse and I tried so many things. It was extremely distressing. I went to buy it again recently, and decided to read the reviews on a whim. I immediately stopped using it and within 2 weeks I have SO much regrowth all over my scalp. It feels so much thicker. At the end my daughter also complained of her hair falling out.

If you bought this because you thought it was cute and cheap and smelt good, please return, even if it’s just a few dollars. It dried my hair out, again I have straight hair with the tiniest wave and it was awful. It smells really good but does not do the right job. Please invest in native or something like that

I'm not sure why this has bad reviews. I love the scent and it makes my hair soft and shiny. I do have thicker hair so maybe it works better on certain types of hair.

I've used the Monday Volume and/or Smooth shampoo and conditioner for 4-5 months. I was loving it. It gave life to my fine hair - no stringy hair, no frizz. However, I couldn't figure out why my scalp was so itchy. The itchiness moved to the rest of my body. After trial and error and removing other products, etc., I've determined it's the Monday products that are causing me to itch. I think it started with my scalp, but I ignored it for so long and kept using the products, that it started to effect the rest of my body. I stopped using Monday products, and the itch is gone. I'm sad because I really like how it makes my hair look and feel, but I cannot deal with the feeling itchy.

Bought this shampoo and conditioner as an in-between from salon shampoo. Noticed hair loss and extremely itchy/dry scalp after one weeks use. Don’t be fooled by the sleek and cute packaging. Definitely a hard no and should not be sold in stores!

This smells really good and it made my hair really soft. However, after a couple of weeks it started to make my hair fall out and it made my hair gummy. I have 100% natural hair and do not use heat ever so this is unusual. Switched to a different shampoo and conditioner and I was back to normal.

You would think it’s a good Shampoo/ conditioner because it’s expensive but no ! My hair got super greasy and I felt so gross . I am returning product ! Never again!

It has receive great feedback but we understand that individual experiences may vary. However, it looks like your hair needs a deeper cleanse and so we recommend our VOLUME Shampoo which contains active ingredients, Hydrolyzed Collagen and replenishing naturals such as Macadamia Oil that are ideal for thin, fine and flat hair in need of extra fullness and body. We also recommend shampooing twice and then only using conditioner on the ends. Hope this helps.

I've been using this shampoo & conditioner for almost a year now and it works just as well as it did day one. Typically my hair seems to "adjust" to shampoo/conditioner and I have to switch it up to get good results again, but not with Monday. It has a pleasant light scent that lasts a few hours after washing, but it's not so over powering that it would clash with a perfume.

I tried the shampoo and conditioner thinking this was going to help with the frizz, but I realized I started losing hair in chunks as well. I tried my previous products again with little to no loss, just strands here and there. Tried using this again the next week and I started losing TONS of my hair. I do enjoy the smell, but it's very damaging and leaves my hair dry as well

I really liked the travel size so I purchased the full size. It made my hair so dry, tangled all the way from root to end, waxy feel, frizzy and made my hair fall out. I really wanted to like it.

We’d like to assure you MONDAY has been dermatologically tested and has been found safe to use, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that individuals such as yourself won’t have individual experiences or reactions. Of course, you know yourself and your hair, so if you’re concerned we’d recommend you stop using MONDAY and revert back to your original shampoo/conditioner. That said, we wanted to highlight that hair fall is a natural occurrence during the Telogen phase of the hair growth cycle, and it could be that your use of MONDAY has coincided with this. It could also be that typically when we start to use a new product, we’re more conscious of any adverse effects (like hair fall) – and naturally when we’re looking out for something, we’re bound to notice it more. Hair fall can also occur due to stress, hormonal and lifestyle changes, and the use of certain medication. If you’re certain none of those factors could be at play, we’d recommend talking to your healthcare professional as it might be that you have an intolerance or allergy to an ingredient in our products or another product you’re using. We want to assure you that many of the ingredients found in MONDAY are industry standard, and used across common salon brands - but that also means there’s a chance you could have issues in future with other similar products. Made my hair feel like straw

I am scared now as I read reviews about hair loss. I definitely feel like my hair has been breaking off. This shampoo made my hair look and feel like straw. I have virgin hair so this reaction was very bizarre to me. DO NOT BUY

Leaves a greasy film on your hair

It left a greasy film on my hair. It happened every single time I used this shampoo even after rinsing until the water was cold. It feels like it’s cleaning your hair in the shower but as soon as you get out and start drying your hair it’s really obvious that there is a greasy film left over. Never had this happen with shampoo before, now it makes sense why this was so cheap.
