Directions ■ adults and children 6 to under 12 years of age (with adult supervision): 2 or 3 sprays in each nostril, not more often than every 10 to 12 hours. Do not exceed 2 doses in any 24-hour period. ■ children under 6 years of age: consult a doctor. Shake well before use: To open, hold by the white grips then squeeze and turn cap. Before using for the first time, remove the protective cap from the tip and prime metered pump by depressing firmly several times. To spray, hold bottle with thumb at the base and nozzle between first and second fingers. Without tilting head, insert nozzle into nostril. Fully depress pump all the way down with a firm even stroke and sniff deeply. Wipe nozzle clean after use. To close, turn cap until it "clicks". Do not discard cap.Inactive ingredients

Q: How many sprays per bottle?

A: Hi Mary. Per the FDA Final Administrative Order (OTC000026) Over-the-Counter Monograph M012, for a 0.05% aqueous solution of oxymetazoline hydrochloride, adults and children 6 to under 12 years of age can take 2 or 3 sprays in each nostril not more often than every 10 to 12 hours, not to exceed 2 doses in any 24-hour period. Given these dosing directions, a user can take no more than 4-6 sprays in total per 24-hours. Given the instructions on how to prime the pump along with variability in consumer usage, we do not indicate number of sprays or doses on the label as this can vary.

A: The box states that it is made in India. It does not state where the ingredients come from. An alternative that was in the local store but not online is Vicks Sinex Severe which is made in Germany.

Terrible design.
Unfortunately, I cannot open the bottle. The instructions on the side of the box are for the old design, not the new one. Even when removing the lid there is a clear sealed cap on it that makes it impossible to remove. I would not recommend this product because of the container it is in. What good is a great product that you can’t even access? It is so bad. I wanna give you a ZERO. But that’s not possible. So I give you a one.

HORRIBLE DESIGN
I had a breakdown and cried for hours trying to get the cap off. Imagine you’re already sick, tired, and having to breathe out of one nostril. AND THEN STILL HAD TO FIGHT THE BOTTLE to get it open. What is it inside that has to be over engineered adult-locked like that? Absolutely insane. It’s so hard I couldn’t squeeze anything, kept pushing down and twisting but all I heard was click click click. I used some tools to break the cap open but there’s some mechanism that locked the spray, now the white part can’t be pushed down and nothing comes out of the spray.

Horrible new cap and bottle - impossible to open
I have used this product for many years. You recently changed the bottle and cap, and maybe even the formula. The cap is almost impossible to get off (READ ALL GEG REVIEWS AND LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS- go back to the old bottle and cap!!!! You are losing customers left and right. I won’t buy your product again unless you change it back

Can’t review the actual product This is the worse cap design for people with bad hands for what ever reason (arthritis, weak hands, etc) Will see if we can cut the cap off just to try Hope product is worth the effort

Unusable Product
Have used this product for years and been very satisfied until you changed the cap design as other reviewers have said. I went to the product website as I couldn't open i the cap. Now I know it wasn't me! Will be returning the product and will not purchase again until this major issue is corrected.

Child and adult proof lid!!
Has grey top and impossible to open. Read directions and looked at example and it still won’t open. Had to use two pair of pliers to open!!! Poor design!!

Can't open new lid!!
The product itself is a lifesaver. But I needed a new bottle and...I can't open it. At all. The cap has been redesigned. I've even tried pliers. It won't budge. Now I'm congested AND my hands hurt. This is crazy.

If yoh cant breath out your nose, GET THIS!!
My boyfriend got this for me when I got a cold and it is LIFE CHANGING! I have seen the reviews for the cap. Push down on the tab on the side, and then open it like a normal child proof cap(push down and twist) I do a spray up the nose, punch my nose and tilt my head back for about it 30 seconds. Then repeat on the other side. I then blow my nose and rest it once more. Even when my nose is fully stuffed up, it opens and I can breathe!! The effects for me last about 10-12 hours! I am obsessed! This is a total game changer for cold and super stuff noses!

Don't ever buy this spray
tried to open the cap for an hour and still couldn't get it open. it's frustrating. have to throw this away because i accidentally open the entire thing, and the liquid inside is all spilled.

So hard to open
It is nearly impossible to get the cap of this product. Instructions are not terribly clear, and the amount of pressure needed for both pressing the white grips AND pushing the cap down AND turning it is ridiculous. I cannot imagine trying to open this if I had arthritis. I understand a need for safety, but this is a terrible design.

This is the most poorly designed product I’ve ever purchased. We are taking it back to the pharmacy as we (two educated adults) could not get the top to work. I literally have bruises on my fingertips after 45 minutes of trying to open the spray and that is after “googling for help to open and following ALL of the instructions that were posted. Clearly, this is not just a problem for us and I can’t believe you released this product to the public.

I should’ve listened to the reviews! Do not buy this until they fix the cap! It is ridiculously tight and will I broke it trying to get the cap off with pliers!

Absolyte failure
I just want to know what failure of a design lead thought the new cap design was a good idea, and what useless QA lead had their head in the clouds when putting a test plan together. Oh wait, maybe they werent even involved. Regardless, the current version of product is a shameful example of what not to do with a perfectly working, highly rated product. I hope you read this. Massive failure.
