Description

During your child's potty training journey, you will need a sit down potty as well as a separate potty seat for use on the big-person toilet. But there's no need to buy both when there's a hard-working multitasker you can get instead. Designed for use at multiple stages of toilet training, the award-winning Munchkin Arm & Hammer 3-in-1 Potty Seat is a triple threat, helping your child pass through each phase with flying colors. For beginners, it acts as a sit-down potty chair with built-in splash guards to prevent splatter and easy-to-grasp side grips for stability. For more advanced learners, the removable top can be placed atop a regular toilet seat. No matter what age or stage, the seat converts to a convenient toddler step stool as well. The 3-in-1 Potty Seat also integrates the power of baking soda for safe and effective odor control.

Q: Will this fit on an elongated toilet seat?

submitted by Elizabeth - 5 years ago
  • A: Good morning Elizabeth. The Arm & Hammer 3-in-1 Potty Seat will work with most standard/regular toilet seats and as such would not properly work with an elongated toiled seat.

  • A: Hello Dorie, the Munchkin Arm & Hammer 3 in 1 Potty Seat approximately measures 6.5" from floor to toilet seat.

Q: Can you use the disposable bags with this?

submitted by Mojo - 3 years ago
  • A: Good Morning, Munchkin Arm & Hammer Multi-Stage 3-in-1 Potty does not require the use of disposable bags. For easy cleaning, the bowl is simply removed via the front handle. The bowl is contoured to make cleaning up a cinch, so just add soap and water and pour out of the side spout.

Awkward Seat, hole and splash guard

SensitiveMama - 16 days ago, Verified purchaser
It’s functional, but difficult for boys in early stages of potty training. As mentioned in other reviews, the opening is very small and splash guard is awkwardly positioned. When you have to move to or get on the potty quickly it’s incredibly difficult for little ones to do it themselves without being lifted over the splash guard and position properly in the hole. Definitely didn’t think about these logistics when purchasing. We were excited for the 3 functions.

Bought for my son and the potty leaks, we have to put a paper towel between the layers so the pee doesn't leak out onto the floor. It's gross. Also, my son cut his pp on the shield and was in a lot of pain.

This training potty is our favorite that we have tried - having a lid is essential with smaller siblings and/or pets (gross, I know). It's a little tricky for kids to unassemble, so I wouldn't recommend it if you have high expectations for your child being able to empty the potty themselves.

Splash Guard too low

We have been using this potty for over a year now. I was drawn to it because of the multi use feature (potty, step stool etc). My biggest issue with this potty is the fact that the splash guard is too low. I read this in previous reviews before buying but I ignored them and gave it a shot. I clean up pee off the floor every time my son uses it. Not just little splashes either. Puddles of pee. The splash guard simply isn’t high enough. If you have a girl I can see how this wouldn’t be an issue. If you have a boy, look elsewhere. Trust me.

I bought this for my son about 6 months ago and he just played with it at first. Finally dedicated a weekend to potty training and he LOVES this potty. Easy for him to open and use and easy for me to clean. Its lightweight but also very sturdy and doesn’t have any extra junk to distract him.

My son is just going to be 2 in January 2023 and he is already almost potty trained and we got this a month ago! Very impressed. Can be used as a step stool to the big toilet and has an extra seat for the big toilets. And has the little cover for boys private parts so pee doesn’t go everywhere while they’re learning!!

It’s worked great so far. The only downside which is why I took a star away is that kids are supposed to be able to use it as a step stool for the sink, not o it is it a bit short for that for a standard sink and average kid but the handles on the side don’t allow for it to be flush against the cabinet for safety.

I like that it is multifunctional. Easy to clean and doesn't take up a lot of space. The deodorizer lost it's scent after 24 hrs which was fine and the scent wasn't bothersome as I had read in prior review.

Fragrance Overload

I ordered this not realizing it had a scented disc in the lid. It was still in the package and I tossed it immediately. After washing and a week of airing out it STILL stunk to high heaven. If you are at all sensitive to fragrances don't come near this thing. Returned.

I bought this chair since it’s 3-in-1 but the hole is very small and my son does not feel comfortable sitting on it. We ended up having to get a different potty chair with a larger opening.

Great potty chair for training toddlers! I love how functional this potty chair is. It’s sturdy and roomy for my above average tot, and I love that the seat can come off to go on an adult toilet and the base be used as a step stool. The base is strong enough for an adult to stand on it. I appreciate the air freshener that comes with it, but not sure how long it will last as we haven’t had the chair long.

It does the trick. The deodorizer clip that comes with it smells disgusting though. I chucked that piece because you don't even need it.

Great for the potty or stool separately, but if used for both, the potty gets dirty on it constantly from being stepped on and falling through the cracks on the lid.

We hit the ground running with potty training a week ago. I love the potty chair! It’s easy to clean and sturdy. I love that it can be used as a step tool as I plan to move on to the big potty by the end of next week! We didn’t have many problems with boy pee getting outside the potty. We just stress to him to make sure his body part is inside when he sits down and he does great. He doesn’t even have to touch it or point it down. He’s learned to sit correctly so that its right where it needs to be. He’ll be 3 in a couple weeks. By the way, in my opinion, potty training with no diaper on is the way to go. We started on the weekend by introducing the potty and taking his diaper off. The understanding was there but not the practice. He peed on the laminate floor three times the first day and we gently redirected him to the potty seat. After that he peed AND pooped in the potty the same day we started. Throughout this week, he’s continued to be pantsless except for bed time and naps. Today we introduced underwear and not a single accident although I completely expected it.
