Big bottle; no reason
Why is the bottle so big? 92% of this bottle is empty. The 30 vitamins fill the bottom part of the bottle and that is it. Thats a waste.

We strive to deliver the highest quality packaging possible for our customers. Several of our products use the same size container to help maintain uniformity of the bottles so that it is easier to find the product you are looking for at shelf. In some instances, this results in bottles that are not completely full. Please note that our bottles can be recycled. We appreciate your feedback and will share your comments with our product team to see what improvements can be made.

Too high in Vitamin D
After months of taking these, my normally thick and strong fingernails were thin and breaking all the time. When I looked up vitamin D toxicity, this is a symptom and the recommended dose is NO MORE THAN 4,000 IU daily. Yet, Nature Made only packages this 5K dose of D3 with K2. None of the lower doses are paired with K2. Something is amiss here and needs to be addressed.

Nature Made® Vitamin D3 with K2 is specially formulated for adults with higher Vitamin D needs or a diagnosed deficiency, as determined by a healthcare professional. That’s why each serving provides 5000 IU (125 mcg) of Vitamin D3, a high-potency dose that supports bone, teeth, muscle, and immune health, especially for those who may not get enough Vitamin D from diet or sunlight. At this time, Nature Made® does not offer a lower-dose version of this specific D3 + K2 product. If you’re looking for a lower dose of Vitamin D3, we recommend exploring other Nature Made® Vitamin D3 options that do not include K2. As always, consult your healthcare provider to determine the right dosage for your individual needs.

Stop using carmine as a dye in your products
I recently switched to this after many years of taking your D3 product due to the benefits of K2. After starting this I developed slight difficulty in breathing which I have never had. It was very mild and progressive over a number of weeks. Once I read the label and saw "carmine", I immediately stopped taking it as I have had allergies to carmine in the past (contact dermatitis with makeup and severe nausea/vomiting with food that has it.) This should not be used in your products. It is made from the blood of crushed beetles and is highly allergenic in some people like me. I feel much better since I stopped. There are much better/safer dyes, if you must use a dye.

One Instead of Two
It is great to take one supplement instead of two. You also save a bit of money this way.

Be aware - it is only 30 pills.
Be aware that this is for THIRTY pills. Opening the bottle was laughable.

Why do these contain soy
PLEASE make these without soy. I know I'm not the only one with an allergy. I'm sure the supplements are effective but I cannot take them. I have to look for another brand.

AWFUL packaging
I’m sure the supplements are fine, but my stars are for the PACKAGING. It is an absolute waste of plastic. The 30 tablets *barely* covers the 1 layer on bottom of the bottle. I bought 4 when they were on sale, I’d condense all 4 into 1 bottle to save space, but I can’t get the stupid lid off of a single one. Seriously scratched up my hand trying to twist the lid off. This makes getting anything out pretty impossible as well because the seal is under the lid. Idk how many it would take to fill the bottle- my guess would be 400? It’s a complete waste of plastic. Idk the solution, but this is tragically awful. If you have carpal tunnel or wrist pain, plan to phone a friend for help.

Good stuff
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] On a one of my last trips to my doctor, she mentioned that my vitamin D levels could be low. I didn’t do much research on K2 but I figured they’re packaged together so it can’t hurt. After talking taking these for a few months, my vitamin D levels rose & it could be mental but I feel better & noticed a spike in energy. I’ll definitely continue to take them.

Made in the USA
Product is made in the USA, by a reputable company (at a reasonable price). And not in China. Enough for me.

USP Label?
I'm alittle unsure about taking these as I just realized the bottle I purchased from the pharmacy, (and the bottle here,) doesn't have a USP stamp. I'm wondering why. I usually take the D3 Softgels from Nature's Made and they have the stamp.
1 reply from Nature Made team - 2 years ago
Thanks for reaching out. To date, many of our products have earned the USP seal, though not all have been evaluated. All Nature Made products meet strict specifications and standards for quality and safety.
