Q: Why was there a small container with carbon inside my prenatal pill bottle?

A: The carbon canister is a desiccant. The canister retains moisture from the inside of the pill bottle and absorbs the odor from the pills. In this product it is used to help control the fishy odor that the DHA in the product may produce. A: We recommend following the suggested use as stated on the label of your product, especially softgels that are enteric coated. However, if the product is not enteric coated, the softgels may be punctured and mixed with yogurt, applesauce, or a beverage that is not hot. Please note, it is possible that full potency may not be obtained by puncturing and removing the liquid content of the softgel, as some of the active component may remain in the gelatin capsule. Q: Why does this have both iron and calcium when calcium literally blocks the absorption of iron? I had to get an iron infusion last pregnancy meanwhile thought I was getting iron daily with my prenatal!

Folate and Folic Acid
Folic acid, I’ve been told is not good for you because it’s in everything and supposedly not broken down, but Folate, which this prenatal contains, has been said to be good. Not sure what’s what, but I notice my hair & nails grow faster.

A quality vitamin

They include a fragrance pack in the packaging to help with the fishy smell and I think overall it does a pretty good job. To be transparent if I don’t eat these with a large enough meal, I will burp and taste the fishy flavor for a little while.

We all know also when your pregnant your senses are higher and id rather smell the orange then fish. Convenient all-in-one prenatal with subtle orange
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been taking these for about three days now. The softgel is a bit on the larger side, but it’s coated well, so it slides down easily with a glass of water. I took it after lunch, which really helps avoid any nausea or fishy burps. When I opened the bottle, there was a mild orangey smell not too strong, which I like it. Also, I did not feel any after taste of this supplement which is usually an issue with other supplements. So far, no side effects like stomach upset or headaches, which I was worried about. I like that it combines folic acid and DHA in one capsule so I don’t need to take multiple supplements. Sweet

It is a bigger pill than my other prenatal, but being a soft gel it went smooth. I just like the smell. And a bit of sweetness in the outer coating.
