So my cat loves (LOVES) this scratcher bowl, but I really needed to replace the cardboard pad—she is truly passionate about both napping in it and destroying it. So much love, you could feel it, lol. I was excited to order these replacement pads, but I was befuddled when they arrived. First, they were XL, not L (as labeled in the specifications above); and second, these pads were flat, not domed, as they needed to be for this scratcher bowl to be—well—A BOWL. Target made this an easy return (thank you!) but I am extremely disappointed about this item, which the manufacturer label itself claims to be the replacement pads for the scratcher bowl, YET are not bowl- or dome-like at. all. If I wanted a flat piece of corrugated cardboard for my cat to scratch, there are plenty on the market. What I NEED is a curved scratcher designed to fit in this bowl that my cat loves so much… and this item was strangely not it (even though by every indication, it should be?).
