A: Thank you for your question. The water tank is on a swivel which can be adjusted to accommodate the space you are placing the VertuoPop+ machine into. The water tank can either be adjusted to be just behind the machine or to the left side.

A: Hi Bill. The Vertuo Pop+ offers a variety of five cup sizes: Espresso (1.35 oz), Double Espresso (2.7 oz), Gran Lungo (5 oz), Coffee (8 oz), and Alto (14 oz). If you prefer a strong, concentrated coffee, double-tap on your machine for a delicious double espresso.

A: Cup size is based on the capsule you use as they are labeled to extract a certain amount, such as single espresso, double espresso, gran lungo, 7.7 oz coffee, & a few larger capsule options. As the expert answer stated, you can double tap the button quickly for coffee creations mode, which would change capsule volume as follows: 7.7 oz coffee > double espresso, gran lungo OR double espresso > single espresso, single espresso > ristretto. Other than using coffee creations mode, capsule bar codes are set to make the prescribed amount.

The Nespresso Vertuo Pop Plus machines uses patented Centrifusion™ technology, an intelligent brewing system that allows the machine to recognize the capsules and create a perfect cup of coffee according to the specific parameters of each brew to gently and fully brew your capsules by spinning the capsules within the machine. When rotation of the capsule starts, a pressure is implied due to the centrifugal forces.

A: The Nespresso VertuoLine machines, including the Vertuo Pop+, are designed to brew capsules using our patented Centrifusion technology. Centrifusion is a word combining “Centrifugal” and “Infusion”, indicating that water is injected into the capsule and is infused with the ground coffee inside as the capsule spins. Vertuo’s innovative technology automatically adjusts to the perfect brew settings to offer a full range of coffee sizes. A: Capsules are required to operate Nespresso machines. We are aware that some companies are manufacturing capsules that appear to be compatible. We do not test the compatibility of competitors’ products with our machines; therefore we cannot comment on this. You may decide to use non-Nespresso capsules in your Nespresso machine. The use of capsules others than those of Nespresso doesn’t invalidate the warranty. A: We do not have refillable capsules to use in our Vertuo machine models. We specialize in specialty coffee grown by our farmers from all over the world. Each blend is created specifically to brew in our state-of-the-art Nespresso Vertuo machines. Each capsule has a barcode under the rim, which our Vertuo machines read, to know how much water to brew through our multiple different sized capsules. We do not have refillable capsules to use in our Nespresso machines.
