Q: How fast does it go and how fast does it go on the rocks or grass?

A: We were actually surprised what this thing can do. It goes through our lawn just fine. Our son sets up obstacle courses with pieces of firewood and boards. So far it has climbed anything that was not more than half way up the tires. The shocks are a little on the loose side so it does have some bounce and sometimes you think its going to flip over.
submitted bymrymrtn - 3 years agoA: Hi Person, it is not recommended to run the Vortex Buggy in the grass, as it does not have a big enough wheel base to clear most lawns. It can run on gravel but running it on very rough terrain will drain the battery quickly. It runs best on cement, packed dirt, or other hard surfaces. Kind regards, AF from Team NB

A: Hi David, the Vortex can be used outdoors, but it is not an all wheel drive toy. It will drive best on low trim surfaces like packed dirt, cement or indoors on hardwood and tile. It has enough grip to go over small bumps. Thank you for the question. Kind regards, AF from Team NB

A: Hi Jack3240, thanks for the question. Full Function R/C means that the vehicle can be driven forwards and backwards and steered left and right. A: Hello, the Vortex should run for at least 15 minutes on a full charge, but this is assuming continuous use. The drive time can be affected by terrain and driving style. The Vortex will run best on low-trim surfaces like hard dirt, wood or tile flooring, or cement. We do not recommend running the toy through grass as it can get tangled up in the wheels and contains moisture, which affects the electronics. Kind regards, AF from Team NB

Junk. Full charge, and it barely even moves slowly. Battery lasted about 12 mins and takes 2 hours to charge. Worked 3 times now, won't work at all.

during unboxing I cut what I thought was yet another redundant anti theft strap that was run through the box. turned out it was the charging cable. why they did it the way they did is beyond me, but i had to splice the cord so I could charge it for my son. don't cut the green wire! other than my own idiocy it seems to be what you would expect from a cheap rc car.

This really inexpensive remote control car is perfect for my three year old. It doesn’t have a super tight turn radius but it has taken a beating both inside and outside and still runs great. I’m kind of amazed. I also love that it plugs in to charge - saving us a ton in giant batteries.

I bought this for a 2 year old so it’s good enough for him. It’s not the best quality and has a hard time driving on anything but flat ground (no grass or major hills) charges fine and lasts for the duration of his attention span (15 min) and then some.

My son had this for less than 24 hours and the wheel broke off. He maybe drove it 5 times before it broke. The axles have major design flaws. Thin brittle plastic with a small screw. The axle snaps right where the screw ends. DO NOT BUY!

We've had the car for 2 days and are incredibly disappointed in the performance (speed and maneuverability), battery life, and overall quality. I say this in comparison to several other RC cars that we've purchased in the past for similar cost. My son is sad that he spent Christmas money on a toy that he's now not interested in because of how bad it is. Please do not buy this product.
