Q: Is this the original formula of Nexxus Mousse Plus Volumizing Foam Styler in the Gold Can (original formula)?? the new formula in the pink can is not the same and highly inferior to the former formula.

A:Â This is the new formula in the pink can. For my hair it works great but my hair is straight and thinning. The old formula was strong hold and heavier. I like the new one better.

I don't know why Target stopped carrying the original Nexxus Mousse Plus Volumizing Foam Styler in the Gold Can. I haven't found a similar substitute try Biolage Volumizing Mousse. It's better than the Nexxus Pink can IMHO.

I’ve used this mousse for years and this last can is totally different. The formula is not near as strong and basically useless. The scent is different also. I don’t know WHY they would change this mousse but it was definitely not for the better. I have to find something else that will work on my curly hair which is going to be a challenge. I loved the previous formula and I’m pretty sad about this.

I have use this mousse for a long time and they have changed the formula. The new scent smells awful reminds me of nair. The mousse does not hold my curls like it used to. I will have to have a new mousse that works with my hair. Huge disappointment and let down

The formula and scent is different. I have used this mousse for 15 years! It’s my favorite, but the new bottle I just purchased is not the same! The packaging is the same, but the scent and formula are not. It has a rose scent I do not care for and it’s feels sticky and heavy. I had to return the product because my hair felt greasy after using it a couple of times.

The nozzle works off and on; making a mess of trying to use this product when it "feels like" working. I've tried to contact Nexxus but they discourage customer input on their site with a very poor web-design of customer support. You shouldn't have to run hot water constantly to get this product to consistently work. Go elsewhere as there are PLENTY of good ones out there (-John Freida for one...)
