A: The Spatter Cover can be removed from the microwave by lifting from the sides of the cover or using the handle in the center, the handle is 5/8" deep.

love this to help with splatters without having to use paper towels all the time, but wish it had a magnet or something on it so I could easily move it out of the way when I put a mug of water or tea to heat, instead of having to take this cover in and out. Also, some of my bowls are taller than I’d like to use with this, so I have to put a plate underneath to add more room to vent (personal preference though).
