Nuloom Melrose Checked Wool Area Rug, Round 4', Grey

I ordered the Nuloom Melrose Checked Wool Area Rug, 12' x 15', Brown, less than a year ago and recently noticed that the rug is fading in the spots with foot traffic. I am really disappointed, as we do not walk on the rug excessively. We do not wear shoes in our house. It is in a room that does not even get direct sunlight (no southern facing windows in the room). Additionally, I am worried it will continue to look worse with time. I contacted NuLOOM and they told me “Unfortunately, as much as we would like to assist you directly, we’re unable to access or retrieve Target orders in our system. Therefore, we’re unable to review the order details or provide you with the available alternative options. Additionally, please note that nuLOOM return policy allows us to initiate a return only within 30 days from the date the item was marked as delivered.” So apparently NuLOOM doesn’t stand behind the quality of their products, and I am left high and dry with an expensive rug that didn’t even look nice for less than a year. It is laughable that they think Target should be the one to resolve this issue, even though they are simply using Target to sell their items third-party. I’ll attach some pics with my couch and coffee table moved out of the way to show the discolorations. The darker spots are where the coffee table and couch sits. BUYER BEWARE!!!

I don't really think it needs a pad, but I did adhere corner strips to hold the corners down. The design is not too fussy and not too plain. I'm very pleased with this purchase. And it arrived very quickly!

When this rug arrive, I really loved it. It looked high end. I’ve had it now for about a year and it hasn’t held up as well I would have liked. If you have cats I would not recommend this one. Lots of pulls like the one shown in photo,, it still sheds a lot, and the edges are fraying. I do love the overall look of the rug but I predict I’ll have it for another year only before it needs replacing. Price makes sense for the product for sure!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Disappointed in the rug and pad. Have followed instructions for removing creases, etc., but it has been a week and they look horrible. Folding the rugs the way you send them ruins the backing. If I had any idea they would show up folded in a giant wad I would have never purchased them. All rugs we have purchased in the past have come rolled, NOT FOLDED!

They were great to replace it but my replacement is a much different color and shade of brown! I loved the first it was so dark and the second is pretty light and just tan.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this rug and wanted to keep it but we can’t get past the sharp pieces in it that have caused splinters in our foot. It’s like it’s wool woven with sharp pieces of straw or something. I’m returning.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rug is a beautiful rug. Color is as depicted. It’s not soft, although it soften a little after some wear. The shedding lessens after some vacuums as well. Seems quality and is perfect for what I need!

I love the look of this rug but it's not very durable. Threads keep coming loose and sticking up, and it's not even in a high traffic area.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hello I have had this rug for a little over a year and I cannot tell you how frustrated I am with it. The color has faded so so much it’s wild. Under my coffee table is so much darker than exposed area. It’s hard to tell in the picture but the bottom of the photo is so much crisper and darker than the top. That’s not my only frustration the woven nature of this rug is loops and as you can see from the second and third pics they fray and lift so easily. I literally have had to sit for hours with a pair of scissors to cut all the loops that have been lifted up and it’s never ending.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this rug for ~6 months and my experience has been awful. The rug sheds more than my dog does and the fuzz is all over my living room. If you have a pet, this rug does not stand a chance against their paws/nails. The wool has completely come undone and it looks old and pilled.

As a first time buyer, a collection of issues has me undecided about returning the carpet as I'm loath to repeat ironing a replacement carpet so it lays flat. See attached photos for the following issues (a) not square lengthwise by 1.6 cm which might not be noticable, but the carpet lays on hardwood floors, so it is noticable (rotating the carpet to hid the irregularity results in making issue (c) more noticable) (b) 3 example pictures showing a few of many orange-flecks running through the weave of the carpet (c) half-way in to one of the length edges, the edge is narrower for 26 cm. For submitting this review, I am not looking to earn a 20%-off coupon on a future purchase, I am wanting compensation to be willing to keep the flawed carpet you sent me.
