Nuloom Melrose Checked Wool Area Rug, Round 8', Grey

I ordered the Nuloom Melrose Checked Wool Area Rug, 12' x 15', Brown, less than a year ago and recently noticed that the rug is fading in the spots with foot traffic. I am really disappointed, as we do not walk on the rug excessively. We do not wear shoes in our house. It is in a room that does not even get direct sunlight (no southern facing windows in the room). Additionally, I am worried it will continue to look worse with time. I contacted NuLOOM and they told me “Unfortunately, as much as we would like to assist you directly, we’re unable to access or retrieve Target orders in our system. Therefore, we’re unable to review the order details or provide you with the available alternative options. Additionally, please note that nuLOOM return policy allows us to initiate a return only within 30 days from the date the item was marked as delivered.” So apparently NuLOOM doesn’t stand behind the quality of their products, and I am left high and dry with an expensive rug that didn’t even look nice for less than a year. It is laughable that they think Target should be the one to resolve this issue, even though they are simply using Target to sell their items third-party. I’ll attach some pics with my couch and coffee table moved out of the way to show the discolorations. The darker spots are where the coffee table and couch sits. BUYER BEWARE!!!

I love the look of this rug but it's not very durable. Threads keep coming loose and sticking up, and it's not even in a high traffic area.

Bought two, 5x8 & 8x10. I LOVED this rug when I saw it online. Very thick, but quality is not the greatest. But I have had it for 7 months and after vacuuming (with the beater bar lifted) fraying, strings and tons of lint started coming off the rug. It is very itchy to lay on, and I just bought a new rug because it started to look horrible. I am so disappointed! Wish I could return it. I dont recommend this rug at all.

Hard to clean. Attempted to spot clean a stain and it bleached the rug and ruined it. (Non bleach cleaner).

Love the look of the rug, but trying to get the wrinkles out was very difficult! It does not show wear or dirt!

some water fell on the rug and the dye spread in the rug and damaging it, very poor quality

Came in a damaged and opened box. The rug itself was folder inside the box creating huge creases and it wasn't wrapped in anything so all of the dirt/rain/who knows what else from shipping got all over the rug! I have been vacuuming it for 15 mins and still dumping out a ton of fibers and dirt. If I received a new, clean rug I'd probably like it more.

The rug looses all its wool and sheds horribly bad

I was really excited about the NuLoom Melrose Checked Wool Blend Area Rug because it looked beautiful when it first arrived. Unfortunately, that didn’t last. Within just three months, the wool fibers began shedding excessively, and the rug quickly started to fall apart. It went from looking like a great purchase to something I had to throw away. When I reached out to Target to request a return or exchange, I was told the item was outside the return window for Target+ purchases. The problem is, I couldn’t find this policy clearly stated anywhere on their website. It felt misleading and frustrating. I also contacted NuLoom directly, and they pushed the responsibility back onto Target, saying returns for defective items must go through the retailer. So in the end, neither company took accountability. Now I’m out $80 with nothing to show for it. Extremely disappointing experience all around. Buyer beware.

Sheds terribly!! We owned it for 5 months and it didn’t get better with time either. Cheap. Save your money

It’s a nice rug but for the price it’s nothing special.

6x6’ and the round 6’ fits perfect. We have a small entry way with a door on each of the 3 of 4 walls so the rug catches often and slides all around on our wood floor. Just need some carpet tape should do the trick. Not sure how well it cleans yet

Do not purchase from this company. I recieved the incorrect rug. Target told me I had to contact the manufacturer. The manufacturer told me they could not help me. Target also told me there was nothing they could do. Now I am stuck with a rug that is not the rug I ordered and I am out a large amount of money.

Gorgeous rug.

The color & quality of the Melrose grey rug is fine, but the odor is stong. There is no sign of mildew on it, but it has a moldy smell to it. Just opening the box, I could smell it.
