It's a solid brow pencil, doesn't smudge bad and holds up with long wear, great coverage... but Nyx products run SO RED! I forgot that their espresso is auburn... It's still a kickin' pencil, and the spoolie to brush the brow hair out and buff the product is great. Keep in mind that espresso isn't the dark brown you're thinking of. You could finish it with a darker power and use the pencil as a template, but at that point? Go with a different pencil. If the red isn't a concern? Great product.

I’m not wearing makeup. I only used the NYX Micro Brow Pencil in TAUPE on my right eyebrow. I like this product. I think I was able to make my eyebrows look fuller while still appearing very natural. I used the spoolie brush to straighten my brow and rubbed it above my brow to remove a little bit of the product. I thought it worked quite well. Previously, I was using NYX Tinted Brow Mascara in Chocolate. I was worried the Taupe would be too light, but the Chocolate had been too dark. I think Taupe does look good. The Micro Brow Pencil seemed to take a little longer to apply than the Brow Mascara, but maybe that’s because this was my first application.
