I bought this hoping it could be a more affordable version of Ouai Detox Shampoo. It wasn't. My hair didn't feel squeeky clean during the shower, and it had only been 2 days since my last wash day. I woke up with sticky hair that felt very heavy and gunky.

All Odele products are free from SLES + SLS sulfates, and as a result, our shampoos may not lather as much (or in the same way) as you are used to. That being said, all our shampoos (except for our Curl Defining No-Lather Shampoo) have a luxurious lather when used correctly. For the best results, we recommend rubbing the shampoo in your hands, adding water until you get a nice lather, then applying it to sopping wet hair. Give this a try and let us know how it works for you!

I bought this shampoo because it claims to remove buildup, but it does the exact opposite for me. After using it, my roots and scalp feel heavier and oilier than ever. I normally wash my hair every other day, but with this shampoo, I feel like I have to wash it again the very next day. It’s frustrating and definitely not what I expected from a clarifying product. Would not recommend.

I have to use clarifying shampoo for my sista locs. This shampoo cleanses really well. The scent is light, and it lathers well. I also scanned it with the Yuka app to make sure there were no harmful chemicals or toxins and it was rated excellent. That’s great for this price point.

Personally not for my hair. Made my hair feel disgusting, caused my hair to be oily and stringy, super tangled. I wanted to try it out as a clarifying shampoo to use once a week or so, but I won’t use it again.

Best clarifying shampoo I've purchased thus far, I would only use it one a week bc it really does remove all buildup inclusing oils and you might over strip your hair which would cause more breakage. Overall does what it needs to do I have super curly hair, so I wear alot of product weekly and I feel reset when I use this! :)

Removes a week’s worth of buildup easily without drying out hair. (I don’t use dry shampoo, just wash/condition 1x a week.) I follow up with Lolavie shampoo (removes whatever is left but not strong enough for first wash) conditioner, detangler and leave-in. Blow out and smooth with straightener/curling iron. Hair feels and looks really healthy.

I had been wanting to try this shampoo for sometime now and purchased it when I ran out of the shampoo that I usually use. I was using the product twice a week until I realized I started to lose clumps of hair. My hair became very stringy and I couldn’t run my fingers through my hair without sections falling out. I then checked the back of the bottle and realized that it said it should only be used once a week after I continued to use it once a week I still noticed really bad hair loss. After switching back to my normal shampoo, my hair is back to normal and i don’t seem to be losing clumps anymore. However, my hair is now so much more thin and my hair distribution seems uneven . A warning to use once a week should be on the front of the bottle if it’s going to cause that much hair loss. Use with caution.

This is amazing!!!! I had been swimming in high chlorine pool and could barely get a comb through my hair. This completely removed the build up and gunk from the pool!!!!! Soft and shiny again!!!!

I used this product for a while to get a good honest review of it. I think that if you are looking for a really deep clean this is a good product. But ONLY USE as directed. I think it recommends once a week but I only use it once a month or if I feel like I have a lot of oil build up. The 3 stars is because for me, it strips a lot causing horrible dry and itchy scalp and a lot of hair loss. The first time you use it, it works wonders and feels amazing. The next few times there is all of the hair loss. The longer you use it the less hair loss happens but the more itchy scalp. The other products they have work so much better for me but I keep this around on the rare chance I need a deep cleanse :)

Smells good, but it does not help with my oily hair. Also doss not make my hair feel as clean as I think it should. I’ve also been losing a LOT of hair. I would not recommend this shampoo.
