A: Our products do not contain gluten. But read on, because if you're asking this question, there's more you should know. *cue ‘90's music from NBC* We don't actively market our products as gluten-free, primarily because we believe this can be confusing. There are a number of myths surrounding the impact of gluten in personal care vs. food. According to the Mayo Clinic, shampoos and conditioners that contain gluten would need to be swallowed or come into contact with an open wound for someone with Celiac disease to react. This is even true for different types of dermatitis that can arise from Celiac, but still it is required that the gluten be ingested vs. topically applied (with the exception of things like lipstick where you'd easily ingest product or application on or near a wound). So if you're gluten-intolerant or have Celiac disease, it's worth talking to your allergist or doctor about your personal care needs. You may not be as limited as you think!

Although this shampoo didnt irritate my scalp or skin, it destroyed my hair. My hair feels like straw, felt weighed down at the roots, tangled easily, and has a ton of breakage now. My hair was always super silky soft naturally and this shampoo made my hair so bad that i want ro cut it off. I have a sensitive dry and oily scalp, so i loved that it is fragrance free. I was so disappointed that it did this to my hair

The sensitive skin line is amazing. I am very sensitive to products and have tried many types that claim they are meant for sensitive skin. I do not react at all to these products and this is the best my hair and skin has been! Started using this product over a year ago and still love it.

Like many other reviewers here, and reports all over reddit, the Odele ultra sensitive fragrance free shampoo and conditioner made me lose a terrifying amount of hair. Breakage? From the follicle? Unsure. Obviously, I will never use it again. It got to the point while rinsing it out that I was scared the hair wasn't going to stop coming out. As soon as it was fully rinsed it stopped falling out/breaking off.

This has to be the best shampoo I’ve ever tried! Dare I say better than Prose 👀 I’ve barely realized my hair is wavy/curly (2b/2c) and has low porosity. My hair is very thick and I have extremely sensitive skin/scalp (psoriasis and eczema) as well. Just make sure you rinse it out well. It’s extremely weightless and I think it might even define my curls more????? I know it’s not because of other new products or a new cut because I haven’t changed anything else since trying. I highly recommend if you have the same hair type and porosity!!!

This shampoo works but I do wish the formula wasn’t so thick because it gets caught on my hair before I get it down to my roots. I think it would work better on looser hair but my hair is really coiled.

I am surprised with the bad reviews, nothing but great experience here. Honestly with the whole Odele line. This shampoo was so gentle on my sensitive scalp. Left my hair soft and clean. Helped a lot with hair loss. I understand that everyone’s hair is different so for reference my hair is on the dryer side. I’m never experience any greasiness with any hair products my hair and my scalp drinks up any product hahah.

I really like this shampoo. It’s gentle and good for regular use - I was my hair three times a week. I do think it’s a little too gentle, I’m likely going to add a clarifying shampoo to the rotation too because I regularly oil my hair and this shampoo doesn’t do the job.

Odele Ultra Sensitive Shampoo has made a big difference in my long gray hair which is curly/wavy and fine. It has helped with moisture making my hair smooth and shiny. My hair looks and feels so much healthier after the first use. It's very gentle as well as I have a hard time finding nut-free shampoos and conditioners (nut allergy). I am very happy!

A little of the shampoo goes a long way, but I've used this three times now, and my ends are breaking off. It's very irritating. I bought it because it's vegan and it has no chemical fragrance. But something else is so harsh in there. After the first time I thought maybe I didn't rinse it out well enough so I made sure I rinsed well and it's just very irritating. It's also somewhat leaving a sticky residue. My neck is itchy my shoulders are itchy, and my hair is very dry now. It's breaking off my hair. I would not recommend this to anyone. It's a hair shredder.

We all have different hair types and water quality. With my super hard water and my curly hair, I find this to be super drying, so much so my scalp itches for days after using. What I do love is that it’s truly fragrance free with no lingering smell. It works well with sudsing and such, unlike most of the all natural shampoos I use. At the end of the day I’m not sure I’m going to keep using but glad there’s a brand that cares about us fragrance and chemical sensitive folks!

My sister recommended Odele and I'll never use another shampoo besides this one ever again. Finally I have RELIEF and can go to bed without ripping my scalp apart from scratching to much and I love how cost effective it is for how much it offers. I'd recommend to anyone honestly; I've been trying to get my mother to make the switch because of her eczema but we'll get there she's a creature of habit.

As someone who has fairly sensitive skin, this product works the best out of any unscented shampoo I have tried. Unlike some natural products which I found didn't clean my hair well and left me greasy and oily a few hours, this shampoo cleans without stripping. Follow up with the conditioner, and my hair is soft and ready to go!
