I'm seeing so many bad reviews for the reboot of this "vintage" Olay Beauty Fluid, and had to add my perspective to the pot because I'm so confused at why everyone has been disappointed. Now I did use this as a kid and not as an adult, so it's possible that because I didn't have skin concerns then, I don't recall how it would have worked differently on my face than it does now. My mom would slather this on us from head to toe, and it was my favorite lotion back then. Having used it now as an adult with super oily sensitive skin on my face, it has been great for me - and that was surprising given that it's scented. I did joke that maybe because my mom used it so much on us as little ones that it may be just a part of my DNA at this point :) But my skin has been loving it and it looks so good under my make-up in the morning. I also use it on my neck, arms, and back in the evenings. I'm sad this is a limited launch because I'd love to have it permanently, which is why I wanted to toss my review into the ring. My skin doesn't like much of anything, especially not retinol, and it's loving this formula so far. I'll be stocking up until I can't find it anymore.

I thought this was the original formula from years ago but it's not. Its the same as the new labels of olay.

I had used Oil of Olay Beauty Fluid since I was 20. I am now 76. When the formular changed, I changed brands. I've tried many. I saw this at Target and I was thrilled. It is not the same. Please bring back the original for those of us who had been loyal customers.

This is not the original formula. Just because you brought back the classic bottle doesn't mean the consumers will be fooled. This has hylauronic acid which the original did not have. You are not listening to the consumers. Bring back the true original formula.

took me a few days to get used to this lotion but now its part of my day and night routine. I love it!. the first few days I had light breakouts but after about a week my skin looked so moisturized and my powder makeup looks flawless with this underneath. I cant speak about the old formula cause I never used it but I love this one.

My review is the same as everyone else unhappy with this product over the past couple of years. Putting it in new packaging isn't going to help. I have to say that the responses from P&G to the overwhelmingly negative reviews for this and other Olay formulas are frustrating. They continue to say that the products are safe and effective and that some people might have sensitivities to the new formula, but if it is actually safe and effective then why are hundreds of people and asking for a return to the old formula? Evidently is not safe and effective if people are experiencing stinging, redness, breakouts and eye irritation. This has been going on for almost 2 years now. Maybe it is time to admit that you made a significant mistake by releasing these products to the marketplace without adequate testing - as evidenced by the many complaints. If these products are actually tested with real studies and not just unleashing on the public and hoping for the best, then link them on your website. I'd like to see the percentage of study participants who were actually happy with the new formulas. Safe and effective is only true if you've actually tested this on real people and they had no or minimal adverse reactions. I spent several hours one day a year ago, calling Olay to report that I wasn't happy with the new product, in this case the Olay Complete Sensitive SPF 15, which I had used since the 1990's. I was told that the only change was to the preservative, but that was clearly not true, the texture was thicker and more like a sunscreen that a lotion, it was sticky and did not wash off easily like the old formula did and irrititated my skin and eyes. Then, I had to return the other bottles I bought from two different stores from when I stock up every year or two, wasting my time and money. The whole experience was a huge hassle and I am irritated that nothing has been done to fix this when people clearly hate the new formulas and they are not selling as well. Please don't respond with some canned message about how the products are safe when used as directed because all evidence suggests that they are not. I am annoyed enough by this, and problems with other P&G products like Ivory Soap, Pantene Shampoos and various laundry detergents that I will be hitting the pause button on buying any P&G products until they sort out their product quality and customer service issues. I am hopeful that they will fix the problem, particularly with the Olay Complete Sensitive SPF 15, because I used to absolutely love that lotion. It's truly a shame that you are are dismissive of your customer base and aren't really listening.

I have used this product for years. Was concerned when they changed the look as were many others that wrote reviews in various sites. But it is doing its job very well. Moisturizing is the best and fits all skin types.

not the original or even close! Olay has lost trust by their customers by reformulating all of their lotion versions (including sensitive). almost everyone is having terrible reactions and theyre not listening. my money will be going to another company now. its ridiculous at this point.

So it is true! Olay, a once loved and moisturizing product, is now garbage. The entire Olay line is garbage and I will never buy again. Don’t buy. That’s the only way they will change.

So happy the original is available again. Love this moisturizer!! Great value as well.

The new formula is TERRIBLE. I reordered last month and received the new formula and it burns skin and causes break outs now. DO NOT use this garbage. I had to switch to cetaphil after 30 years .

Can you please bring back the old formula. This is horrible 😢. After using this for 30 years I had to switch to other brands and my skin has been horrible ever since. Please switch back.

It doesn’t moisturize like the old one and actually dried my face out. The smell is horrible. Like rancid plastic. All I could smell was a solvent/chemical smell. Looks pretty with my vintage bottles on my dresser but that’s about it. Totally disappointed.

My skin was perfectly clear but I was excited to try something new. I used this once and got a horrible irritation overnight and now I’m covered in bumps. I tried to put it on again the next morning and it burned. DO NOT BUY THIS! I am devastated. It’s now been 2 days and my skin is so itchy and burning. Save your money and your skin, please do not buy this

Feels just like the original but a little thicker which I prefer tbh. Has the same scent. Reminds me of my grandmother’s dresser(who had the most flawless skin at 78 btw). So excited to bring it back into my routine.

I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the Oil of Olay line that they brought back at Target. 6 oz of beauty fluid for $10 is such a steel. Totally reminds me of my grandma. The beauty fluid is an amazingly light texture that feels so good on my skin.
