A: the answer is NO, unless you are buying in a club store, where typically two jars are sealed in a large cardboard backer, which cannot be opened in the store. sSngle jars are not sealed.

A: There are different factors that can contribute to what’s known as “pilling” -- moisturizer balling up on the surface your your skin -- or flaking when using a moisturizer. Here are some tips to help prevent this from happening: Be sure to apply your moisturizer to clean, dry skin. Pilling/flaking can be caused by using too much moisturizer or by rubbing it in too hard. Try using a little less product and try patting it onto your skin instead of rubbing it in.

Never tried olay products before. My expensive skin care brand I’d been using for a while was letting me down plus getting older each day doesn’t help. I decided to try this moisturizer for night and the vitamin c for the morning and wow, my skin feels so much better and is retaining the moisture is was lacking with the other brand. I’m excited to try more of olays products now.

This is great for someone new to using retinol. To people who are writing about skin irritation/breakouts - this is a retinol product! If you have never used retinol you have to build up tolerance and it takes weeks to see results. Start by using 1-2x a week and slowly build until you’re using it every night, make sure you wear sunscreen if you’re using this product. The initial skin irritation/burn is worth the longterm results of even skin tone and texture. I showed the transition of my skin - it used to be super dry, flaky, sensitive, when I started retinol it got this painful spots because I was using it too frequently, when my skin finally adjusted my freckles lightened, my skin didn’t look dry and less red, I didn’t need foundation. It’s worth the wait!!

After applying it, it left flaky white particles on my face. I wasn’t sure if the product just dried out and my skin started peeling. But it’s never happened before, I only use this product for retinol, the MAX retinol burned my skin and left it red and dry.

My skin is so itch, flaky and dry. I use a lot of Olay products, and even when I experiment with other products, I end up returning to Olay. I have used this product in the past with no issues, but this time, my face is a mess, including my neck. Did anything change about the formula? The reactions started on the face use this time. I should have returned it, but I assumed it was just a retinol purge that would subside considering my success with this product in the past. Now I am stuck with an expensive cream that I can't use, because my fingers are all over it. I have about 6 olay facial products right now, and none seems to do any good. Very sad!

This is the first retinol product I’ve tried. I don’t have very sensitive skin but I didn’t know how my skin would react, so I got the trial size first. It’s usually recommended you work your way up with a retinoid. So I tried a small patch of my face to make sure I wouldn’t react badly. I started using just once a week, and it was definitely itchy at first but got better once my skin was used to it. Now I use it on its own every other night in combo with a vitamin c serum and SPF during the day—and I *really* noticed a difference after about a month of doing this! My skin appears a lot softer, more even, brighter, and just overall healthier. Really happy with this product!! Note: during my trial period I did get small breakouts for the first time in a while, but I expected that when trying out a new product. I just scaled back when I needed to and it hasn’t been a problem since my skin adjusted.

I've used this lotion for a while now and really liked how fresh, light, and non-sticky this lotion is. I didn't realize how great this lotion was until I've tried the Olay Night Recovery lotion - a mistake to try it...where it was sticky (like being in a humid place or have been sweating) and leaves a residue. That teaches me a lesson to stick with what works!

1st it felt amazing & thought I found a great product but then STOPPED use on day 3 after a terrible burn started on my face and neck. So much redness and itchy skin after using this product. I’m on day 4 after I stopped using it and I am barely starting to see a little relief. My skin is super dry, flaky, patchy, red and itchy. Never again am I using this. And my wedding is ONE week away 😭

So I did some research before getting this and this was recommended a lot from dermatologist that say this is good cream to start with. So far I’m impressed. My skin feels soft. Im happy to use it every night and it doesn’t really have a smells. Which I like. Only been using for a few weeks and my lines aren’t as noticeable to me which is good cause they bothered me a lot.
I like the serum version of this better

The ingredients definitely work, but the moisturizer pills if you put anything over the top of it. The serum version of this cream definitely goes on smoother, feels better on the skin (it isn't so heavy), and works even better, in my opinion. If you have sensitive skin or are prone to breakouts, definitely get the serum version of this.
