    Tasty bean dip

    It's a long time since I've had refried beans. I like that these are low in fat, but they're really tasty paired with tortilla chips and baby carrots.

    NOT a poptop lid!

    Good product but unfortunately we were not able to use it on the road because despite going out of the way to pick this particular brand because the photos show and point out that it has a poptop lid and does not require a can opener… That’s not the case. Very frustrating.

    Runny mess

    Not sure what they have done to these but the last 2 cans I bought are just a runny mess! Very disappointed. Will be looking for another brand!!

    Soup?

    Been purchasing these for years and recently the last several cans have so watery it's been like bean soup. Possibly a bad lot but others seem to be having the same issue. Lot numbers on the bottom of the can are 19JAN2025/22B2 234 00623 234/FF1758

    Vegetarian Refried Bean Review

    Terrible. I heated them up and it was like refried bean purée. Disgusting. I have purchased these many times before and they were fine. This can was inedible.

    NOT vegetarian, uses LARD

    NOT vegetarian - lists lard as an ingredient TWICE. Just in case you didn't know, lard is a semi-solid white fat product obtained by rendering the fatty tissue of a pig. So it's definitely something you only get by killing an animal, which, in my book, makes the product definitely NOT vegetarian.

    NOT vegetarian! Contains lard!!

    I don’t know how they can get away with calling these vegetarian when there is lard listed not once but twice in the ingredient list. Vegetarians and vegans beware!!!

    RUNNY MESS

    I have bought these for years and love them. I just bought 3 cans and opened one last night for dinner. I literally POURED then into the pot they were so watery. I threw it out and opened another...same runny beans. Wondering if they're watered down now to charge us more. What a waste. Will be finding another brand for sure. Also tried Traditional and was the same!

    Definate Closet Staple

    We keep these constantly stocked in our kitchen and serve them with just about every tex mex and Mexican meal that we prepare. The quality of the product is great and it's hard to tell that it came from the can, once it's been heated up. The best part is that our super picky 6 year old loves them. So that is a HUGE win in our book. Thank you for the great product!

    Spoiled or tastes like chemicals

    I’m sure I had a bad can because it was one of the worst things I have ever tasted- very spoiled or full of chemicals. The date on the can was still good but the contents were horrendous.
