Not what I expected…
I wanted to really like this lunchbox after all the great reviews that I read online however I was greatly disappointed. I found out that it really works great to keep foods that have liquid hot. But it does a horrible job at keeping things like chicken nuggets, pieces of steak, chicken fillet, grilled shrimp hot. Basically, any protein will not stay hot. I have found that I have needed to pull out the Thermo completely and I am only using the lunch box portion which completely defeats the purpose of this lunchbox.

Price point doesn’t match durability
I have owned 6 of these lunch boxes over the past 3 years for both of my children. We have had to replace half of them and only one was due to my child being “too rough”. The others stopped closing or the hinge broke despite proper care and cleaning. At this price point it was frustrating to have to keep replacing one yearly.

Food got cold.
Even with putting hot water in the thermos first, food was cold by lunch. Disappointed for the price, and given there are cheaper options that seem to work more effectively.

We’re sorry to hear this! The thermos works best when it’s preheated with boiling water for at least 10 minutes, then filled with piping hot, saucy foods like soups or pastas. Tenía dudas sobre si comprarla o no, pero ahora que la tengo es una compra que no me arrepiento , es de excelente calidad, no es pesada al menos para mi hija de 4 años , tal vez para niños más pequeños si lo sería, sus espacios son grandes , y no se chorrea si las gomas las colocas bien , para los niños es fácil de abrir y cerrar , tiene una agarradera como si cargaras un portafolio , tal vez yo le agregaría un cordón para que los niños si quisieran puedan colgarla .

Great lunchbox just Little big and heavy
I bought this for my 2.9 years old for her preschool. The lunchbox is great but the only problem is size and weight. Little large and heavy for preschooler. Also, most small backpacks fits it but NOT all. In some mini backpacks after putting lunchbox it doesn’t leave any space for water bottle or anything else. I didn’t return it because eventually I will need it but for few months we will be using spare small lunch box. Just clarifying that the thermos size quantity wise is good it’s just the large square box design and its weight is little more for little ones to handle.

Great product! I’ve used it since my kids were 4. We put hot food items in it which gives the kiddos more options for lunch. I’ve had lunch start at 10-12:30pm with no mentioning of food temps. The size and compartments are good enough for give them a few options.

The box is really good for my toddler who is 4. I really enjoy that I’m able to adjust the divider and that everything is easily and quickly accessible to my toddler. 4 star because it’s not dishwasher safe and I hate handwashing it.

Favorite lunch box hands down
Hands down my favorite kids lunchbox. It is insanely versatile, easy to clean and so kid friendly for little hands. My daughter got her first one at 2yrs and it was very easy for her to use (several other kids wound up getting the same one as a result). She’s 6 now and we’re still using the Omie Box products- got the pixi pink one this year and it’s SUPER cute! AND!! You can get replacement pieces easily without having to replace the whole thing. It’s great all the way around.

Water in Shell
I have had an OmieBox for a year and the shell got water in it. There isn’t a way to get the water out and I have never put it in a dishwasher only been hand washed and Omie will not replace the shell despite that being feedback from several people owning Omie. Don’t buy if you want it to last more than a year.

Replacement shells are available on our website so you can continue using your box, and we’ll also pass along your feedback to our design team.
