Adding to the long and growing list of 1-star reviews, I too did not realize after many years of using this floss that Oral-B changed their product for the worse. My return window expired long ago or else I would try to get a refund. The old version worked great for our whole family, including my sensitive young child and now is terrible for everyone.

I wish I could give this 0 stars. They changed the material and I hate it and no longer buy it. It cuts my gums and is very stiff and kept slipping out of my fingers. It also slips out of my teeth as I’m flossing. Hoping they bring the old one back. I haven’t had a good floss until I changed to another brand and it showed when I had my check up after using the new version. My hygienist said a lot of patients have been telling them the new version is horrible. It’s hard to have a good floss when the floss keeps slipping out between your teeth and the floss has no grip in fingers and between teeth to clean well.

Will be returning tomorrow! Formula has changed. It comes in a 3 pack and it takes a while to go through 3 spools of floss so I was unaware until now when I had to restock, whatever this plastic like new floss ain’t it.

I have used this before and it was gentle on the gums, I thought the new one I purchased was a fluke. It feels like hard plastic, even tried it and all my gums were sore for two days (I floss regulary and never had that feeling after flossing). This used to be my favorite, but the new version is awful.

The "improved" version of this floss is terrible. I have been this floss for years but they recently changed it and it is thin and breaks and shreds. Please go back to the previous version of this floss. It seems like Oral B has cheapened this floss. I have switched to a store brand and it superior to the new improved Oral B Glide Comfort floss.

Very difficult to floss with. Other Oral B tape style floss have been my favorite. This one is a very different experience for some reason; no good. Will switch back to the original tape floss.

I don't know what kind of testing they did with this new material but it was insufficient. They really expect us to pay premium price for a product that feels like the budget brand? Too hard, too plasticky, too slippery. I never bother to leave reviews but this really ground my gears. What was the purpose of this change??

I have been purchasing this same floss for years - I literally go back into my past purchases and order from there to ensure I select the same item. I recently bought another pack and was displeased like others to find that they changed the format of this product for whatever reason. This floss is now much stiffer and plasticky, and it does not fit as easily between tight teeth. Some else called it fishing line and that’s a very apt description. It’s such a drastic change from the previous product; it’s so disappointing. I will be on the lookout for a new floss.

This floss is like using a plastic shoelace that doesn’t “glide” but sticks to the teeth! It doesn’t fit between some of my teeth it’s so thick! I miss the other design they had. Such a terrible product.

All of our products go through extensive testing to ensure they offer consumers an exceptional experience, so for the floss to be sticking to your teeth and be difficult to get through tight spaces is not the level of performance we would expect. We are sure this goes without saying, but we suggest discontinuing the use of that product. While most of our flosses have made the change to this new fiber, we would like to recommend trying our Oral-B Essential Floss or Satin Floss, as they are still made with their original formula.
