Q: Has this product changed? I ordered what’s pictured, but it arrived with “new” printed on the box and no longer says “Glide threader floss” just “threader floss.” It’s also made of cotton like fibers that look like they’ll snag on my wire! Very annoying!

The packaging is nice with a colored threader on each end and multiple contained in each envelope. But the floss itself snags and makes fingernails on chalkboard sounds and feels terrible between my teeth.

It had higher ratings for the PREVIOUS style of flossing but they have changed it sometime in August 2024. Now the new flossing is completely useless. There are no good reviews since August 20th…therefore, it tack the version onto the previous ratings are MISLEADING! Shame on you Oral B.

ZERO STARS! On the very first tooth this new design caught in my permanent retainer bar so badly that I spent 10 minutes with tweezers trying to get the shredded floss out. Very painful. Will never recommend or buy again.

Completely unusable for me. I used the previous, individually packaged, tape-like floss for years. It worked wonderfully when I had braces and worked perfectly around my permanent retainers. My dental hygienist always compliments me on how well I keep my retainer clean and I always attributed it to the type of floss. My teeth are very closely spaced. I have never once used this new floss (or the Super Floss that’s been available for awhile) without it either shredding on the first pass. I just found what looks like the old product from a different company and will be ordering it right away to test it out. There must have been some reason for the change, but it’s absolutely awful.

This is a horrible useless product. The old ones were completely sufficient. The new ones cannot even get thought the first gap between my teeth that have a permanent retainer. There is zero reason to continue producing this foam garbage.

The "Cushioned" floss is too thick for tight contacts and shreds easily. Also a little difficult to remove from the envelope of 5 floss threaders. Please consider bringing back the original Pro-Health threader floss. Would be ideal if it could be packaged similar to the Sunstar Gum Easy Thread Floss (only without the puffy floss).

The reviews are here and in IG, FB, and pretty much every social platform or place where people can buy this online. The new design is terrible and no one likes it. The new fiber thread is not strong and it's extremely hard to use between tight teeth. I highly doubt this met QA controls as you state in other comments. If it's a way of cutting cost of manufacturing and packaging please note this is making your customers very unhappy. My business really doesn't make a difference but I will not be purchasing anything from your company until your listen to your customer base because its a terrible change. Just discontinue this product at this point because no one is going to re purchase this.

I used to get the Glide Oral B threader floss and it was SUCH a game changer.. however, the new design is disgusting. The floss is more like sticking yarn in your mouth. It gets stuck in your teeth and permanent retainer. I’m so sad and so disappointed.

Everyone else is correct in their negative reviews. The old product was great for flossing. I thought the change was to just have 5 in a packet instead of 1 (which while a little inconvenient would be fine), but instead they changed the entire product. This fuzzy string floss starts shredding very easily.

I use this floss all the time for my bridge and it’s great but this is a terrible package design change. I’d imagine most people only use one at a time. With 30 separate paper packets, they come out in a little coil. How am I supposed to open a package of 5 and shove 4 back in until tomorrow?
