From the first day we’ve owned this camera it would disconnect from the WiFi multiple times a day (we have very strong WiFi, so that was not the issue). Now, after a month, it will not connect at all. It is a very expensive paper weight. I reached out to Owlet customer service multiple times and they were entirely unhelpful. They have refused any refund or remedy - making the 1-year warranty a total lie. A few weeks ago I bought a competitor’s camera (V-Tech) and it connected the first time and hasn’t disconnected yet.

This camera has caused us so many issues. After a year of having it, we can no longer get it to connect to WiFi. Have had it just over a year, but the warranty is only good for a year so customer service said there was nothing they could do to help. Highly recommend the sock though, have had no issues.

Bought this camera over 3 years ago and a second almost 2 years ago. It takes 30+ minutes to set up, and tech support is no help. I was able to look past the frustration of setting it up as the features of the camera justified the price. But now they updated their software and for me to have features I previously had for almost 3 years they require a $6/month subscription. So on top of $130 to get the camera, you have to pay $72 a year to use all the features that make the camera worth what it is. If I could return it, I would. Absolute scam behavior.

This is extremely unreliable and doesn’t stay connected. It made me, a first time mom, unable to relax and sleep at night because I was unsure if I would hear my baby cry and I couldn’t have peace of mind to look at him through the monitor. I would reconnect five different times in an hour and then I’d put my baby to bed and get the following picture constantly. I couldn’t go in and reconnect it every five minutes without risking waking him up. I’m just so disappointed and sad. I have to overnight ship a new monitor and just try to get through my anxieties tonight. I would NOT recommend this to anytime.

I love having piece of mind when I put this camera on the baby and can do all my chores around the house. I carry my phone with the app on it wherever I go and can watch my lo sleeping and even hear her. Game changer !!!

I’m so disappointed in this monitor and I wish I did my research before purchasing but I wanted the most high tech and expensive splurge for a monitor. I don’t love that you have to keep the monitor on your phone and cannot close the app or you will not receive any notifications for baby cries or sounds. It takes up a lot of phone battery usage. Camera streaming is delayed and sometimes takes a while to connect when you open the app or doesn’t connect at all. Also the night vision turns on only at night when the room is completely pitch black. Even though I have a blackout curtain during the day the camera is too dark and cannot see baby sleeping in crib. I wish there was an option to turn on the night vision. Save your money and get an old school monitor!

Bought brand new, spent 2 hours trying to set it up. Read through every single help guide available, and nothing. My WiFi IS compatible. Now cam is stuck in blue light mode, and won’t even factory reset. We have tried everything. Such a waste, super disappointed :(

The device requires LOTs of finicky WiFi settings to try to setup. I've spent 5+ hours trying to set the device up, even reached out to their support team and they can't help. Many people online said they've had this issue too. I would stay away.

It gives great audio and video, but really only when it is not needed. I constantly have an issue whenever I hear a noise and bring the camera up, it all of a sudden loses connection and you cannot hear or see anything. It would not recommend if you want to have peace of mind.

Don't be ready to take this cam on a trip unless you're ready for 30 minutes of holding your phone / camera like a fool. Literally the worst pairing experience ever. Why not have the QR code on the camera so the phone can scan it like ring does? Also sometimes after spending those 30 minutes pairing and finally getting the chime. You go to the homepage and the camera is literally nowhere to be found, so you get to delete the camera and start all over again. I will genuinely put re-setting this camera up when coming back from a trip off to avoid getting angry it's that frustrating. Moved onto different cameras.

I bought this camera between my firstborn and my second born. I use it in the living room to monitor the boys while I am busy. Doing other stuff around the house. Best camera in my opinion, and I have about four different cameras.

I got this as a gift from my baby registry in a set with the sock. The sock ended up burning my baby leaving a blister. So I thought, well at least I’ll use the camera. Wrong! Image would take forever to load on phone. Camera notifications are nonexistent (yes, I have it set to the highest sensitivity) unless there are changes in the lighting. If the sun goes down, you’ll be notified. LOL Sorely disappointed! I haven’t tried paying for the camera monitoring features. Maybe then it will work as advertised. Just sharing so the same thing doesn’t happen to you.

We’ve been trying for a baby for 8 years with miscarriages and a stillbirth. This camera gives me Peace at night, when our rainbow baby gets rest. We love that it measures the BPM and oxygen but also the temperature. The summary and Trend is really interesting to see and we love love love the owlet sock and camera

I like that the quality is semi-decent and is able to record 30 second video clips when motion, sound and crying are detected. Fairly accurate with sensitivities turned high. I think for a baby monitor the camera quality is a grainy but still viewable, especially in night mode. Feedback time is pretty accurate with only a small lag. Overall a good pairing with the Owlet sock. I do find the temperature and moisture sensors to be a couple degrees inaccurate but Owlet did provide a disclaimer that location of the sensor can affect readings.
