Q: Would this mat work for confectionaries? (Pouring melted sugar ~300 degrees onto the mat to stretch/work with?) Not sure if the mat can handle that temp.

This was the 3rd rolling mat I tried. It's the only one that didn't slide around or bunch up underneath the dough while kneading bread. It's easy to wash, and the measurement markings are very helpful for baking!

I love this pastry mat. It lays flat and doesn't move around, haven't had any issues using cookie cutters on it. Haven't had abby issues with dough sticking to the mat as long as you lightly flour it first. Highly recommend. I just hand wash in the sink and drape it over something to dry. Will be purchasing another one as a gift.

It's a very good buy. The map is nice, soft and good quality; and it can be folded well put in a draw. Since I have it, I use for making dough every time. But if it could be thicker, it would be perfit.

I LOVE this mat. I use it for making scones primarily. It's nice because the circle has measurements for the size of the circle, plus lines for equally cutting the scones into eighths. I've also used it for shortbread, sugar cookie, and bread dough. It's nice because nothing sticks if you lightly flour this mat, unless your dough is very sticky (but even then it's much more manageable than any other surface).

I like that this thing works well and adheres well to the countertop. I use for rolling pie dough. It is very flimsy though so it's awkward to wash and dry. I don't know how it will hold up to any slicing like the dough they show in the picture of pie dough lattice as I haven't tried yet. I'm usually very happy with OXO products so, hopefully, it will last for awhile.

This Pastry Mat sticks to the cabinet so it doesn't shift while you are working on your pastries. It stays put! I am so glad I found this mat! I have always been afraid to attempt pie crusts and such because they are difficult for me to roll out and then they stick to the mat or cabinet top but this solves that problem. And cleanup is a breeze because you basically give the mat a soapy rinse and it dries so quickly. Roll it up and it is out of the way. What a great product!
