I am picky about coffee, & usually use a semi-auto espresso machine for my Americanos. The OXO BREW is easy, fast, can be used w/o electricity. It makes *excellent* coffee. Even with cold water! This is how I make iced coffee in the summer. I am even tempted to pitch the big machine in favor of this device. It takes a little muscle, but not too much, and has a very solid feel.

Using this for travel when I’m craving a cold brew before heading out for the day! I run a mobile coffee cart and was excited to OXO at the Specialty Coffee Expo bc I love their products! I plan on getting a larger commercial version down the road so to see the mini was so exciting! This was the perfect addition to my set up. So easy to use. Taste is incredible. No need to wait 24 hrs or spend unnecessary money when you can make at home in 5min!

This little thing is great! I use it primarily for iced coffee, but have tried it for hot coffee too. For my iced coffee I have enough for the equivalent of two Starbucks’ grandes. I use half of the coffee one day & save the other half of what I refer to as the coffee syrup (undiluted) in a small bell jar in the fridge for the next day. I’m saving a ton of money not going to Starbucks!

I like really strong coffee but don't want to make a pot for just one or two cups. I use all of the concentrated coffee (French Roast) with four ounces of water and get ten ounces of perfection for me.

Was looking for something like this for random(or regular) high quality cups of coffee(cold or hot) and I saw this. I knew oxo didn't play around and always had well engineered products so I got it. First time I used it with pre ground dunkin Columbian from the store I thought I bought a piece of literal junk. Then I read the instruction card(my life story w adhd). ITS ALL ABOUT THE GRIND AND PRESS. So I got a cheap electric grinder and ground it further and the game done changed. I prefer cold coffee but im sure hot is just as good but this thing will crank out a high quality, swift kick in the pants cup. Be careful, and dilute, unless your built like that because this thing will crank if you grind fine. OXO 10/10 O yea, and its super portable, looks cool, you feel cool, and it adds some nerdy fun to your coffee cuisine. Rinse it and your done.

I have only brewed twice with this brewer as a test run for travel. Everything went as expected. Coming from an Aero, where coffe comes out ready to drink, diluting the coffee with hot water was an extra step but, doable. I have 3-4 minutes from the beginning of initial brew to when I add the hot water to the concentrated coffee I made. Plenty of time to heat additional water with my immersion heating element. Form factor is a very nice bonus. It is more compact than my Aero. Everything nests together neatly. Much easier to pack in my carry-on for travel. Also, no filters to worry about. No leaks when pushing water through the coffee grounds. My Aero seems to leak quite frequently when pressing water thru coffee. So far, I am very happy.

Once again, OXO’s smart engineering and thoughtful design has elevated an old product into something brilliant. This is a French press for the modern day. The coffee produced is fast and fool-proof and somehow better than the best standard French press coffee. The coffee concentrate this makes is smooth. The press itself is very easy to use and it produces concentrate quickly. I spend more time tamping down the grounds than I do anything else when using it. Easy to clean. My advice: get more out of the beans by pressing two additional times. The resulting concentrate won't be as strong but economizes the beans you used and works well to make a strong cup of coffee.
