Q: I am having a problem with the pods lately. The coffee grounds come up through the top hole and go all over the top of the kcup. It goes into the coffee sometimes, too. Does anyone have this problem?

A: Have had this problem with another Cuisinart model, but it was the pods…some pods rip open at the top when you close the lid. I put a small piece of scotch tape over the tops and it solved the problem.

Q: Can I brew a pod single cup of coffee while the other side is set up to auto brew for the morning? Or do i have to reset the auto brew after I brew a single cup? thanks

A: We have this coffee maker and use it all day, every day. You can NOT do both at once and says so in the manuual as well. Not an isuues at all for us, just wanted to be corect on this.

Many good features such as programmability, bold taste, coffee temperature options, etc. One downside is that when using the single-cup feature, the piercing of the pod makes a huge mess with ground coffee spilling all over that side of the coffee maker. I don't know if the point isn't sharp enough or what, but that's a major disappointment.

Coffee maker flexibility...single pod or pot...is wonderful. Makes really good coffee. Would give it 5 stars except there is no indication to add water for single pod use. You start the process but nothing happens. The reservoir is behind the maker and not easily visible unless you move the maker. Not a show stopper but a real nuisance...especially until you get used to it. On the bright side, coffee is very hot and warming plate keep carafe hot as well.

good coffee maker. just getting use to the smaller water reservoir for the single cup brewing. easy refill but smaller capacity. Another issue is the black writing on the coffee maker that makes it hard to read with some writing below the dial. I don't know why we can't make that easy.

Disappointed it leaks water all over the counter.
I bought this coffee maker about 2 weeks ago. I have a regular Cuisinart coffee maker that I have had for over 10 years. I love it but thought I wanted one that would brew a pot of coffee or one K-cup of coffee, plus I liked the idea of having a water reservoir so I could keep water ready for a cup. I don't understand, but when I put water in the K-pod reservoir the water leaks out all over my counter. The first time I thought maybe I didn't get the reservoir on right, so the next time I paid close attention and made sure it was on right and secure. The same thing happened. Water leaked all over the counter. Has anyone else had this happen? It is so frustrating and disappointing that a Cuisinart product would be this defective. I should have gone with the Ninja one I was looking at first.

I bought this to replace an old Cuisinart coffee maker that lasted 18 years. Therefore, you couldn’t convince me to invest in any other brand. I wanted a single cup brewer, as well as, the ability to make a full pot. This combined both, and the design looks sleek and modern. Others looked like two separate machines put together. The black stainless look is just beautiful in my modern kitchen. I appreciate the simplicity of design, and the simplicity of use. Makes perfect cups of coffee. Highly recommend!

I owned and loved my Cuisinart duel coffeemaker for over 9 years but good things come to an end and it finally started having problems…..easy decision, I purchased the new model Cuisinart duel coffeemaker. I love it - has several new features that make it easier to use..no on/off switch, the drop down self for smaller mugs etc. and the design is even more attractive - A+

Do not buy.
Came broken. Would not allow for pod brewing and would not brew carafe coffee. Machine got hot but nothing happened. Would not recommend. Ninja dualbrew pro has been significantly better.

Machine works great; heats up fast and makes great tasting coffee in both the brewed and pod functions. This is my 6th Cuisinart coffee maker. My only complaint is that the plastic parts are cheaper and less quality Cuisinart coffee makers. My basket has already come apart after only a few uses. Hopefully Cuisinart will get the manufacturer to fix this or change manufacturers.
