Q: I am having a problem with the pods lately. The coffee grounds come up through the top hole and go all over the top of the kcup. It goes into the coffee sometimes, too. Does anyone have this problem?

  • A: Have had this problem with another Cuisinart model, but it was the pods…some pods rip open at the top when you close the lid. I put a small piece of scotch tape over the tops and it solved the problem.

  • A: Hello- There is a 1-4 cup options. This would mean the correct amount of water would need to be added to the water tank. The machine will brew whatever amount of water that is placed in it. The 1-4 cup options slows down the brew process due to the smaller brewing cups being requested.

    I purchased mine 3 months ago. For the limited amount of time it has worked, I really enjoyed it. However, it just stopped working yesterday. Now, I design electronic equipment for a living and things today just are not built like they used to be. If you get a few years of service, well that is all it is designed to do, but come on, 3 months. Really poor engineering and lack of life testing.

    We had the previous model (SS15) which we were pleased with for years. Decided to get the newer model and love it too. Great to have the Pod have more ounce selection, plus the raised cup shelf. The carafe and Pod both give the true measure of ounces, which the last model didn’t and brews faster. Very happy with this coffee maker.

    The carafe portion of the maker, i am not happy with. When not using filter, basket only, grinds of coffee end up in my coffee. The k-cip side works better. I like the option of having both, however dont use without paper filter for carafe!

    This coffee maker lasted five months and died. It was not a descaling issue. Just stopped brewing mid-pot and utterly died. Cuisinart replaced it with a new one. That was five months ago, almost to the day. Guess what stopped working this morning? Is this what to expect from Cuisinart? Every five months your coffee maker needs to be replaced?!

    This is the most recent of my Cuisinart coffee maker purchases. Ever since my first one I've been hooked. They make the best coffee and every time we have people over, they comment how good the coffee is. I tried the bold setting when it started coming out on the coffeemakers and I'll never not use it. With the price of coffee skyrocketing Cuisinart's make even inexpensive coffee taste good. And to get strong coffee, you can just use the standard amount of coffee stretching it. Family members always comment on how good and strong my coffee is. Granted, more expensive coffee is generally better tasting, but it's not just the coffee, but the coffee maker! And with the reusable pod, I can use my own coffee to brew a cup saving on the cost of having to purchase the pods. The only negative thing is that you can't use the bold setting when making a single cup.
