A: Chuck, In order to clear the nozzle and hopefully without spilling while tilting cup too much to pull out: With the tray, max height is 5.25". Without the tray, max height is 6.25".

Q: Is there any restrictions for the type of coffee you can use? Dark, medium. I know I had an $800 De’ Longhi that they said not to use dark because of the oiliness of the coffee.

A: Hello- There is not, but keep in mind darker roast beans are oilier which will require the grinder to be cleaned more option.

Great coffee maker
I've been using this for a couple weeks now and so far it's great. Makes very good coffee. It is easy to clean. The grinder is a bit noisy but quieter than my last grinder.

Good whole bean coffee maker
Things I like about this grind and brew coffee maker. First yes you can grind whole beans for great coffee. Second you can skip the grinding and just use K cups. Third it’s easy to use. Fourth it’s relatively fast. Things I don’t like about it. I wish the water reservoir was on the side instead of in the back. It’s hard reach because I have the coffee maker on a shelf. Second, I always seem to get coffee grounds falling out of the reusable cup after I grind the beans. Maybe there is a way to have just a little less grounds in that cup.

Fresh taste with every cup!
We love our new grind & brew. With fresh ground beans, the coffee is superior. But even with pre-ground coffee, it makes a delicious cup. We love the versatility of being able to use pods in a pinch, or using the reusable filter cup. The added benefit of not putting plastic pod cups into the landfill is a huge bonus on its own. If I could give it one critique, the height from the brew chamber to the bottom (even with the drip tray removed) could be about a half inch higher to accommodate a travel mug. I would definitely recommend this coffee maker to anyone who appreciates the value of a fresh brewed cup of coffee.

Disappointed!
I bought this and wanted to love it but I don’t. The grinder spills coffee grinds making a mess and the water doesn’t drip out of the maker evenly causing grinds in my coffee. I am very disappointed and would not recommend buying it.

it's pretty convenient and makes a great cup of fresh coffee with fresh grinds. It's a little messy but other than that, it's compact and makes a great cup of coffee. You can also use the store bought coffee pods if you are in a hurry and not have time to grind your own coffee.

No quality control
I really thought this was a neat concept and might save some time. The reservoir was cracked at the top right out of the box. After the first and only use, the water leaked out all over the floor. The crack in the reservoir should not have caused that, so the water came from somewhere else. Returning to Kohl's

Perfect gender and delicious coffee!
I did a lot of research and read many reviews before buying this coffee maker. I wanted a coffee maker that ground the coffee and made coffee all in one. This coffee maker fulfills all my needs . The grinder is not loud and its grinds perfectly. It is a one cup maker but it's very quick. The coffee is robust, I use dark roast. I love it!

I love the simplicity that comes with using this coffee maker. it’s much easier to keep clean and use compared to other coffee makers that have internal mechanisms that grind the coffee within the machine, making cleaning almost impossible. The reusable pod is perfect, and i also use other coffee pods without issue! My coffee beans stay fresh and the water container holds enough ounces so i don’t need to worry about adding water after each cup.

Small, efficient and delish!
I only need one cup of coffee a day- so to find this all in one grinder coffeemaker for single serving is amazing! Footprint is perfect size, and as it allows for my own favorite beans freshly ground it’s the best of all worlds! And yes- if you’re into the pod cups- that works too (there’s an included adapter) but I am thrilled with the fresh bean coffee experience!

This is the perfect coffee maker for a household with only one coffee drinker. I love grinding my own beans. Every cup I make is fresh and hot
