Q: Can you use coffee that is already ground to make coffee in the drip pot or do you have to use whole beans only?

submitted by Vic - 9 months ago
  • A: Yes - That's a button for "grind off" which tells it to use the ground coffee that you'll place in the filter.

submitted byTiffany - 3 months ago
  • A: Hello, This unit gives you the option to use both, you can ground your own beans or you can use already pre ground beans.

My coffee pot leaked and was broken. Cuisinart sent me a brand new replacement under the warranty. The coffee pot keeps coffee hot for 4 hours. It makes 12 cups with or without beans. It makes pods too for a quick cup. I'm glad to have my coffee pot back again.

This was supposed to be an upgrade from my old click burr but I wish I had kept my old trusty coffee maker. First issue was the grinder…it was either too overfilled to make a good cup or it wouldn’t have enough and the coffee would be watery. Second issue is even cleaning it daily and no longer using the grind feature, placing ground brand in the filter to the fill line caused water to constantly spill out. Using less coffee always led to a watery pot. The frustration of spending more and never being able to make a full pot of coffee makes me want to find another coffee maker. I’m going back to my old click burr if it had not been discontinued.

    Perfection!

I'm not going to mince words: the Coffee Center Grind and Brew Plus isn't just a coffee maker, it's a culinary deity masquerading as a kitchen appliance. From the moment this magnificent machine graced my countertop, my mornings have transformed from groggy rituals into pure, unadulterated bliss. Let's talk about the grind. "Super quiet," the user said? That's an understatement so profound it borders on blasphemy. This machine grinds beans with the hushed reverence of a librarian in a silent reading room. I’ve had grandmothers who whisper louder! You could be performing delicate brain surgery next to this thing, and the only sound you'd hear is the delightful whiff of freshly pulverized coffee. It's so efficient, it feels like it's brewing coffee before I even think about wanting it. And the warmth! Oh, the glorious, enduring warmth! This isn't your average, "lukewarm an hour later" kind of warmth. This is the kind of warmth that says, "I love you, and I want your coffee to be perfectly hot until the very last drop, even if you decide to take a nap in between cups." It's like having a personal coffee concierge dedicated to maintaining optimal temperature at all times. Truly, this is the best coffee maker ever. It has elevated my coffee experience to a level I previously thought unattainable. It's efficient, it's quiet, it's a warmth-preserving wizard. Now, for the one minuscule, almost unforgivable flaw that threatens to cast a shadow on this otherwise perfect beacon of caffeinated joy: the coffee pot glass. "Overly sensitive," they said. Ha! That's like calling a supernova a "bright light." I’ve looked at these pots sideways and felt a tremor of impending doom. I've accidentally breathed too hard in their general vicinity, and suddenly, shards. Two pots already! It’s less a coffee pot and more a delicate, crystalline heart, prone to shattering at the slightest emotional turbulence. It truly makes me glower with frustration that such a magnificent machine is tethered to such a fragile vessel. It's the Achilles' heel of an otherwise Herculean coffee maker. Despite this, I stand by my assertion: the Coffee Center Grind and Brew Plus is an unbelievable, wonderful, fantastic triumph. Just... invest in a backup pot. Or ten. You'll thank me later, after you've experienced the sheer perfection of the brew.

I’ve always loved Cuisinart products and I have many however this new coffee pot is the icing on the cake. Not only can it grind fresh beans to make a full pot but it can also use a pod if I only want one cup, and there are two separate water wells. I absolutely love it.

All the features on this coffee maker are why I like this machine, especially the drip, pod brew and the bold option. Only negative is it’s a heavy machine to slide on the counter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like it. It is super loud but stranger is how long is grinds, even for four cups. It sounds as if it's a running overloaded aggressive motor! The other con is the cleanup - everyday I have to clean out the grinds AND where the beans grind and the coffee pot. The pro is you can have ground, beans and a one cup!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s hard to find a decent grind and brew coffee maker that doesn’t break the bank. This one works great and you still have the option to brew a single cup if you’ve got it set to brew using the timer.

Save yourself time, money, and aggravation...pour water on your countertop, then head on out to Starbucks for your coffee. First, what's good about this thing...nothing. What's not good?...every thing. It leaks. A lot. The grinder is LOUD. Makes sitting above the wing on the window seat at takeoff a soothing experience by comparison. The carafe may hold 12 cups, but the grinder only holds enough beans for maybe 6. Same with the grounds basket...it's tiny. The water tank for the carafe is not removable and is at the back of the machine and very narrow, so you have to pull it away from the counter to add water. The water tank for the pod, besides also being at the back, has no water level indicator so who knows how much is in there. Worst of all, the coffee is mediocre at best. I read other 1-star reviews before buying. Shoulda listened. My bad.

Sadly, my machine has already broken. I purchased it early in December and it started faltering (not brewing the coffee) about 2 weeks ago. Attempted to clean it and also researched some "trouble shooting," but to no avail. Very frustrating.

I would not recommend this product because of the problem with the brewer the pod has never failed.I feel that there is definitely a problem with this coffee maker. Unfortunately we do not return the product for inspection.

This is as a replacement coffeemaker. My original purchase was a year ago. Very happy with the coffee by product but the machine itself is all plastic and a little flimsy. That’s what happened to mine a little piece broke off the top lid and to use the machine I had to use a heavy jar of pasta sauce to keep it closed.

The pod coffee maker works great. We are having some issues with the bean grinder getting moisture in, to the point that all of the fresh grounds do not dispense into the filter. This also makes cleaning difficult. I find that I'm still needing to use a separate grinder, which defeated the purpose of getting this machine.
