about this item

The OXO SoftWorks V-Blade Mandoline is a safe, versatile food slicer. Four interchangeable blades combine with a simple height adjuster to make straight slices, crinkle cuts, French fries and julienne strips, all in a variety of thicknesses. The blades store on board and remove easily for quick cleaning by hand. A textured surface keeps food from sticking during slicing while the included food holder protects fingers. The handle, thickness selector and Mandoline feet are all non-slip for a safe, comfortable slicing experience. When you're finished, clean the Mandoline body in the dishwasher, then fold the feet in and lock the selector knob for safe, compact storage.
Dimensions (Overall): 15.5 inches (H) x 6.1 inches (W) x 2.2 inches (D)

Love this mandoline

The secret to this item, or any mandoline, is to take time to learn how to use it. I was frustrated at first and was going to return it. Instead I took 30 minutes to practice on some vegetables and removing and replacing blades etc. It was worth the time. It works great. I have a hand held mandolin...  see moreof Gayle's review

I almost did not buy this because of a couple of negative reviews. Decided to try it anyways, and I'm glad I did. Take a few minutes to really read the instructions and practice with an extra vegetable. Once you get the hang of it, you will love it too!  see moreof Larose's review

I absolutely love this mandolin!. We received it as a wedding gift 7 years ago and it is still doing an amazing job. I use it all of the time and i's also super easy to clean. Some of the other negative reviews seem as though they may not really know how to use a mandolin or know that the millime...  see moreof 's review

I got this for my wedding and have used it almost every other day since. It makes cutting veggies super quick. We like to make vegetable chips and this allows us to have the perfect thickness for each type of vegetable. Was nervous from other reviews saying there were too many parts? But I think it ...  see moreof PalmTree's review

          Not impressed

I bought this to use when prepping food for my dehydrator. I tried it with apples (peel on) and carrots. It seemed to work better on the carrots but overall I was not impressed. I had expected it to be good since America's Test Kitchen rated it highly, but I found that food got stuck periodically in...  see moreof 's review

Too many parts, not sturdy. Not safe.

I didn't like it. Its too dangerous, with all the blades its too many parts to put together & its not safe to handle. The blades snap on & off, the grip for the food comes apart; it is just not solid. Too many parts to change, assemble per project. I will be returning mine.  see moreof Cindy's review

I bought this for my fiance for father's day, he's been wanting one for so long. He was excited to use it & the first time he did, he sliced an onion. This thing fell apart! The black handle came off of one side so the entire side of it fell off. Tomorrow I'm going to exchange it for the same model ...  see moreof Zina's review

I took the time to try and learn. I just don't get what's for what. Too many parts and I don't have the patience. Maybe it is better for other people. But I just want my knife back.  see moreof T's review
