Q: Does this plug into the wall socket? In the picture it looks like a USB. Who has a USB at their bathroom sink?!?
A: I have a GFCI with USB charging ports in my bathroom. No issues for me.
submitted byHAHA - 1 year agoA: yes, this is so unnecessary. I wish to have a normal plug, especially for bathroom to have usb to have extra option for water access, I am surprised they want to take that risk for few cents to keep
submitted byQuality - 3 years agoA: I bought an adapter plug that has both the usb plugin and a standard outlet plugin. It cost me $9.99, its a simple and cheap fix.
submitted byWayne - 1 year agoA: So Phillips wants their customers to replace their bathrm outlets w/ 1 that has a USB port so that WE can use YOUR product? I don't think I'll be remodeling my bathroom so that I can use your product
submitted byK in plfd - 2 years agoA: Companies useUSB on the end of their power cables because it is a low voltaga connection, therefore they do not need to seek the same certifications as a regular plug, therefore making it cheaper.
submitted byDEA - 2 years agoA: The new toothbrush will almost assuredly work in your old charger base, too; and you won't have to defer to the new USB one. Keep it, though. I'm not an electrician and, in theory, I could be wrong.
submitted byLee - 1 year agoA: Embrace change. It's going to happen anyway. Resistence to the USB is you keeping one foot in the past and no foot in the future, leaving you in a flamingo stance. Do the bridge in all things.
submitted bykath - 2 years agoA: I'm mystified by absence of regular 110V double prong plug. Agree with comment, "who has a USB port in their bathroom?" My home is 30-years old, which is normal.
submitted byKulgrani - 3 years agoA: Hello! You can use a USB wall adapter to charge the Philips Sonicare 4100 Powered Toothbrush.
submitted byAnswered by Philips - 3 years agoBrand expertA: Its usb, you will need to buy the plug.
