From the #1 Milk of Magnesia Brand, Phillips’ Milk of Magnesia Wild Cherry Flavor liquid laxative is a saline laxative providing gentle overnight relief of occasional constipation* formulated with Magnesium Hydroxide to provide cramp and stimulant free relief of occasional constipation*. (This usually produces a bowel movement in 30 minutes to 6 hours). Phillips’ liquid laxative works with the body’s natural process to relieve occasional constipation. To use, adults and children 12+ take 30-60mL, children 6-11 take 15-30mL. Ask a doctor for children under 6 years old. For accurate dosing, only use dosing cup provided. Dose may be taken once a day preferably at bedtime, in divided doses, or as directed by a doctor. Drink a full glass (8oz) of liquid with each dose. Ask a doctor if you need to use a laxative for more than 1 week. Constipation, or irregularity, is a condition in which stools pass more slowly than usual through the bowels (intestines), occurring when too much water is removed from the stools, becoming hardened. A variety of factors may contribute to constipation, including dehydration, lack of sufficient fiber, low physical activity, and diet changes. Phillips’ has been a trusted brand for over 150 years.

The best.
The best product you can get for constipation. I'd start off with 30 mL. It'll most likely do the trick. For me it works about 90 minutes in. The still notice effects for 6 hours after that. I disagree with taking it at bedtime. Don't take it at bedtime. Take it during the day when you know you'll be home all day. Drink lots of water too. 5 star. I love how it's ready to consume out the bottle. And comes with measurement cap so you can buy it at the store, open it up, drink it, and you're done. Just have a bottle of water with you. It's great that it is stored at room temperature, as opposed to the refrigerator. So you can leave it in your car or on the table anywhere you want. Life saver.

When you need it, this is the product! The taste is much better than the original. It’s effective with signs of constipation without cramping. Cost us comparable to other products. Bottle is easy to open and comes with a medicine cup to dispense.

Alright somewhere along the lines of forming this formula of Milk Of Mag you messed up. And by messed up I me terribly messed up. Please try and reformulate this may have been the worse experience I’ve ever had. I gag every time I think of this product. This isn’t even an exaggeration but straight truth. One the texture, why does it have to be so thick? Two the flavoring is rancid. Three I took this hours ago and still want to throw up. I’m disgusted.

Why did you reduce the sugar by 40%? It tasted great, but now sorta yucky! You should go back to the original ! Then, just do a sugar free. The stuff works great, but tastes yucky, now.

Diluted product ! I’ve taken this product for a couple decades. Recently it’s been diluted. You can tell it’s diluted because it’s so thin and it takes four times the amount to make it work! This is a shady business practice, and whoever decided that this ought to be fired from Beyer. A product that people have depended on for so long in this country has turned it back on us.. I will be cautious to avoid anything made by Bayer. 👎🏿

Crazy label guidelines
I bought this product today. MOM works great. BUT: The label says to store at room temperature but doesn't say anything about after opening. I just read online that milk of magnesia must be refrigerated after opening to preserve freshness. It also says that it will help pass a bowel movement within 30 minutes to 6 hours. Yet it recommends taking it at bedtime so you can poop in bed. These guidelines are crazy. So should it be refrigerated or not? I think better yes than be sorry later. Should I chance pooping in bed? I don't think so. I'll take it earlier.

Best invention
Best thing ever I first found out about it after having a c-section since you can’t push and with medicine you get constipated. Well it worked magic so now whenever I feel the same or just need a release I drink a little. Like everyone else mentions do not take the recommendation because you will never leave the toilet. Don’t forget to drink water with the recommended amount because if you don’t it’s like eating hot Cheetos all day !

Relief at last - yay!
I was seriously constipated after taking a heavy-duty antibiotic. I called my insurance company's advice nurse, the urgent care people, and my doctor suggested. I bought Milk of Magnesia after I saw it mentioned in the Mayo Clinic book on Digestive Care. I took it at 10:00 last night, and voila!

This is one of the few pregnancy-safe solutions for the absolute agony of being endlessly stopped up while you’re growing a human. I tried magnesium citrate first and it did nothing. DO NOT take the full dose to start. It says take 30-60ml. I took 45 and it was…a lot. Mind you, I had not gone properly in over a month and it was still too much. Stuff cleans you out. I’ve never felt such relief. Next time I used 30ml and honestly I think I could still use less and still have it be effective. Tastes like liquid tums. Not great, not horrible.

On the advice of my doctor I took this for my constipation issies The two months I was on it o was depressed. , I cried every day. No idea why. The day I was suicidal o knew something was wrong and stopped it. All the depression lifted. A month later I tried it for 2 days. Cried all morning. Poison

Works great, but don't take a lot
This stuff is great. I was in the hospital for about a week and when I came home I had constipation for about 3 weeks! Nothing worked!! (and I tried a lot of things). But when I tried this, it was amazing. Caution though -- start with a small amount (like a table spoon). DO NOT start with a cupful! ;-)
