Directions

Drink a full glass (8 oz) of liquid with each dose. Dose may be taken as a single daily dose or in divided doses. Do not exceed the maximum recommended daily dose in a 24 hour period.

Adults and Children 12 Years of Age and Over

Take 2 to 4 chews.

Children 6 to Under 12 Years of Age

Take 1 to 2 chews.

Children 4 to Under 6 Years of Age

Take 1 chew (single dose or in divided doses).

Q: Can toddler's take this product?

A: No they must be 6 years old or older. Call the doctor. Unfiltered apple juice does the trick with most toddler's.

A: Pedialax makes a magnesium hydroxide product for younger children, along with other remedies. It is 1/3 the dose as one of these chews. If diet or behavioral remedies don't work, magnesium can help the problem from worsening. Make sure you use it long enough that any discomfort from the original constipation has had a chance to heal, so that they don't start withholding stool. This is important for very young children like toddlers. They won't remember the 1000 comfortable poops they had before if one really hurts.
