Stop use and ask a doctor if : you have rectal bleeding or your nausea, bloating, cramping or abdominal pain gets worse. These may be signs of a serious condition,you get diarrhea,you need to use a laxative for longer than 1 week.Directions
Do not take more than directed unless advised by your doctor. The bottle top is measuring cap marked to contain 17 grams of powder when filled to the indicated line (white section in cap). To Open: Push down and turn.Adults and Children 17 Years of Age and Older
Use once a day. Fill to top of white section in cap which is marked to indicate the correct dose (17g). Stir and dissolve in any 4 to 8 ounces of beverage (cold, hot or room temperature) then drink. Do not combine with starch-based thickeners used for difficulty swallowing. Ensure that the powder is fully dissolved before drinking. Do not drink if there are any clumps. Do not use more than 7 days.Children 16 Years of Age or Under

A: There are 17g of Polyethylene Glycole 3350 (osmotic laxative) in each dose. As a reminder, MiraLAX is not indicated for use in preparation for colonoscopy. We recommend following your doctor’s directions when preparing for a colonoscopy.

submitted byDHR - 3 years agoA: This bottle. Just an FYI, I needed to split this into two batches. I used my kitchen scale to weigh it. I don’t know why the Miralax “brand expert” is saying it’s not intended for colonoscopy prep; this is the product my gastroenterologist recommended.

Q: Can a toddler use it for constipation?

A: I would not recommend it (we did, and unfortunately, there were some side effects we weren't aware of). I would do a Google search, and you can see all the studies being done on the issues that parents have seen with giving it to a toddler/child. We ended up getting Culturelle Kids Regularity and it has helped a lot.

It works.
This product works great for me. It’s expensive but I have to have it. Insurance don’t pay for it. So if you need it don’t hesitate and try it. Hard to write about it

It bloats
This bloats. If you have issues with chronic constipation, see a doctor, because this shouldn’t be a long term solution. It just bloats you after a while. I’m stopping this as of yesterday as I prepare for my second appointment with my gastroenterology office for another treatment. It was MD recommended for me, but now 6 months later, I’m not taking it anymore. The bloating is disabling.

Great for constipation.
MiraLAX really does help with occasional constipation that most people have from time to time. It doesn’t have a scent and is inexpensive as well. It can also be mixed with water, coffee, tea or Gatorade as well.

Amazing how fast this works!
My son is an extremely picky eater so sometimes he gets constipated and this product is a life saver! It works super fast. It has no taste or smell, so you are able to mix and drink with anything, even water! It dissolves very quickly and doesn’t leave a sandy texture in your drink afterwards. I honestly feel as well as this product works it’s worth every penny! It works so well that my son will ask to have some if he knows his stomach is bothering him. I would highly recommend this product to anyone anytime.

A great product for constipation
For occasional constipation MiraLAX is the best! It’s easy to use, dissolves, completely, has no taste at all, does not upset your stomach, and it is a good value for your money. The bottles are super easy to open and the cap is actually used to measure the amount of powder you put in your water. If you drink it in the evening, you be ready to go 💩 in the morning!

Game changer
This product is a complete game changer. I have suffered for the last six to eight months with constipation. I started taking miralax and I have a perfect stool every morning now. It is truly a lifesaver for this 73-year-old man. I should add the dissolves and you don't even know it's in your beverage. So many other products on the market clump and turn into cement or taste badly or gritty. You will have none of that with Miralax.
