While it is marketed as a "Switch 2" controller to highlight its new features, PowerA has confirmed that it works seamlessly with the entire Nintendo Switch family. There are 2 main features that will not work on your original Switch: -The "C" Button: This controller features a new "C" button (specifically for Switch 2 GameChat). On an original Switch, this button will have no function because the older system doesn't support the native chat software. -Rumble/Amiibo: Like most third-party PowerA controllers, this model does not have HD Rumble or an NFC reader for Amiibo. Any drifting works well too and the stick feels smooth. Battery is pretty solid as well. However it doesn’t vibrate for games, or maybe I just haven’t found the setting yet.. still good for the price, would purchase another if I ever needed

I regret buying this controller because it doesn't turn on the switch 2 from sleep mode. Insane that such a basic and necessary feature isn't included.

A regretted purchase

Does not activate the Switch 2 to turn it on. What's the point of buying a Switch 2 controller that can't do that?

Thanks for your feedback. This wireless controller model is designed to work with the console once it is powered on, but it does not turn the system on from sleep or fully off. The Switch 2 must be activated using the console’s power button first. After the system is awake, the controller will connect and function normally for gameplay.
