While it is marketed as a "Switch 2" controller to highlight its new features, PowerA has confirmed that it works seamlessly with the entire Nintendo Switch family. There are 2 main features that will not work on your original Switch: -The "C" Button: This controller features a new "C" button (specifically for Switch 2 GameChat). On an original Switch, this button will have no function because the older system doesn't support the native chat software. -Rumble/Amiibo: Like most third-party PowerA controllers, this model does not have HD Rumble or an NFC reader for Amiibo. Maybe just need to get used to the differences

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you Influenster for giving me the opportunity to try this wireless controller. At first it was nice with the mappable buttons on the back and the grips on the back and thumb sticks. The mappable buttons make it real convenient when switching consoles. However when playing I was not a fan of the buttons on the bottom. When playing fast paced games requiring reflex response, buttons not being in their usual location can be an issue. Not only that but even if you do get used to the buttons being on the bottom, they are so small and close together it becomes too easy to fat finger and press the wrong ones. It’s a nice controller but not for me. 3 out of 5 is what I’d say it is.

Well made controller and the feedback is so fast

I was able to play Mario Kart with a much better response on steering. The controller is so much better than the original Switch 2 remote and lasted a very long time on a single charge at full.

Doesn't power on system from sleep mode

Feels good in hands and buttons are placed in nicely, but I got this because I only had switch one controllers and hated getting up to turn on my switch 2 everytime, and it turns out this doesn't power on the system from sleep mode.

The PowerA Advantage Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch 2 (Pokemon: Mega Evolutions) cannot wake the Switch 2 from sleep mode. You will need to press a button on the console itself to power it on from sleep. This is standard for most third-party wireless controllers.
