Awesome beginner kayak

Good Kayak but bad seat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the kayak last Monday July 2nd. Take it out on Eagle Island State Park 2 times. The seat now keeps pop out didn’t stay in anymore. The kayak is very nice just the seat need to improve.

Easy to transport
Very happy with my pair of kayaks; they perform just as expected. Best part for me is ease of transport. Easy to carry and I can pack two of them INSIDE my 2015 Subaru Forester with room to spare and still have a passenger seat open for my float partner! No roof rack or high lifting required.

Good Creeking Kayak
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought 2 last year for creek paddling. The boat is very stable and handles in the creek well. Also works well for fooling around on still water ponds and lakes. Do not recommend for river paddling because it is hard to keep it on course. Had to modify the VERY HARD seat by adding a butt pad and a roll to support the small of my back. PROBLEM: The little tiny seat buckles come apart VERY EASILY! ...and they SINK! Last trip a EXTREMELY HARD to paddle without that part!

We have 2 of these Lotus's and they are very durable, and surprisingly stable for the type of boat. We recently needed a replacement seat and the service when ordering the part was very good.

Love The Kayak and The Customer Service!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this kayak three years ago as a gift and I have had so much fun with it! It is incredibly stable (my grandchildren climb off and on it with me and it barely rocks), tracks nicely on our lake and has all the features I wanted for flat water. The customer service from Lifetime has been exemplary. I have only had two issues in three years - the front handle broke and the drain plug tether broke resulting in the loss of the drain plug. Both times it was easy to contact Lifetime and they quickly sent me replacements and their agents were very pleasant. I also purchased Lifetime children's kayaks for my grandchildren from which they have received many hours of entertainment.

Great kayak for kids!
We bought two of these boats to give our kids something fun to do during the "socially distanced" coronavirus summer. They loved them! And so did we (the parents!). The boats are perfect for new paddlers to go solo, and they are big enough for a parent and small kid to ride together together. Plus the customer service at Lifetime was great (we needed a replacement part, and they sent it right away)! If you are looking for long kayak trips, you'll need a nicer boat that tracks better. But for some basic fun out on the water (at a reasonable price), you can't beat the Lotus!

Can’t imagine life without our kayaks!
We bought 6 of your kayaks (4 smaller and 2 larger) almost 10 years ago for our children and grandchildren to use on our pond. They have been used and sometimes abused, but still look new and shinny! Without a doubt your customer support is top notch.... when one of the grandkids unscrewed the plugs... one quick phone call and you had replacement plugs in the mail to us! Wish I could Use It.
I received this as a gift, but it was missing the strap to hold the seat in place. When I called customer service after a very long wait, they said that they would send the replacement part via 2 day shipping. That was Thursday. Today is Tuesday and I am still waiting. I called again and they said that they were sorry. Needless to say, I will never order anything from this company again. Mistakes happen, but own up to it and make it right. Saying "sorry" three times doesn't help the customer.

Love this kayak!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my Lotus for 2 years now and can't find anything wrong with it. The stability on the water is great. I've had it in river rapids (not large) and paddled through currents with no problem. It maneuvers easily where ever I've had it and is easy to paddle, my arms don't even get tired! I am a 63 year old woman and can load/unload by myself and get it to the water w/o a problem. I purchased a "leash" for the paddle so I can't lose it when I'm out, especially by myself. My first trip out one of the fasteners on the seat popped out. Customer service immediately answered my email and sent me the replacement parts for free! I was back on the water by the weekend. Can't say enough good things about the Lotus or the Lifetime customer service, top shelf!

Customer Service
I recently had lost the attachment that holds the shock cord in place on my kayak. When I contacted the customer service dept, they were quick to reply and notify me that, they located the replacement part and would be mailing it to me FREE of charge! Thankful that there are still some companies that will stand behind their products! Great job lifetime.

Could not be happier with my Kayak!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought two of these for our family last summer. They are incredible! My 6 and 9 year old boys can use them confidently, and even jump off to swim and get back on again without tipping. The back rest is higher (more comfortable) and made better than other brands. They stack well to get into our mini SUV, and stand upright in the garage for easy storage. At less than 35#, I can head for a quiet outing by myself and get my kayak in/out of my car/water without the need for someone else to assist. LOVE LOVE LOVE my LIFETIME kayaks!
