I knew I wanted to dive back into the world of Conform, but wasn’t sure how a prequel would hit after the cliffhanger… Wow, wow, wow. So much tragedy, emotional depth and growth throughout the whole book. Arielle has such a way with descriptive writing that isn’t just unnecessary rambling. She can make you feel what the characters are going through, what the room smells like and vividly picture their world. This is a single POV, but we get so much insight with details that each character in Sasha’s unit that it feels like more. Again with such eloquent writing I can hear each voice and see each character in my head. *~~•*•~~*~~•*•~~*~~•*•~~*~~•*•~~*~~•*•~~* Could you imagine never being able to see the stars again? To be forced underground indefinitely? This is nuclear war and the end could be near. Sasha lets herself believe that she is nothing but a beast with everything that has been placed on her shoulders. There couldn’t possibly be anything left but ruins. She must survive and hope that she makes the right calls. For herself, her family, her unit and Haven. “You have to survive now, little flower”
