Best deal around for 24 real flame gels. In our faux real flame birch log fireplace they last about 3 hours ($9 a fire—roughly $3 a can). I only use it for special occasions since that’s only 8 fires...one can doesn’t cut it for heat, 2 is a little better, max ambience and a little better warmth with 3. Really it’s for the fire effect for a non functioning 100 year old home! It does the trick!

Fantastic option if without fireplace
While I have been using this brand of ventless gel fuel for six years now, this was the first time I purchased it from Target as they were the most competitively priced this go around. I truly appreciate having this alternative as our house has no working fireplace. I generally burn 2-3 cans at a time in the ventless fireplace unit I purchased. These produce enough heat in my small living room that, even in winter when the outside temps are in the 30s, the furnace doesn't kick on while these are burning. In my experience, these cans typically burn at least three hours each; I've had some that have lasted 3 1/2 hours. I've noticed an initial slight odor upon lighting only a couple of times over the years and that dissipated fairly quickly. It's incredibly import to follow the instructions on the can to remove the paper label prior to lighting.

Real Flame is the best brand of gel fuel you can buy. I have been using Real Flame for over 30 years, tried a cheaper brand once, it could not hold a candle to Real Flame. Additionally, Target online is The best place to purchase it through, the price is excellent and shipping timely.

My Tiny Cottage is Cosy and Warm
I’ve had my “fake fireplace” for at least ten years. I’ve tried other brands but I think Real Flame is the best. I end up using maybe two cases a season and although it is more expensive than the other products, I have to have it. Target has the cheapest prices out there and I’m hearing it may be a cold one so I might need three!

Real Flame gel cans/fireplaces are a great economical way to warm up in a emergency situation and add ambiance.
Love this product. It works as an emergency back up when the power goes out. Heats up my Living room and kitchen when the power goes out. The other times its a nice flame to add ambiance to the home. The crackle sounds and the live flame is so nice to look at. I have a Real Flame fireplace and these work great together with it and have had it for over two years and its great economical way to have a fireplace with out the construction expense and permanence of a gas fireplace. I can move it when and where I want at any time. It lasts about three hours per can. I dont understand why these are not more popular.

I've tried several different brands and this is by far the best. Adds warmth to the room, lasts a long time, and looks great. I like the new labels that are easy to tear off. Some other brands don't have paper labels but don't be fooled. Take an extra couple seconds to tear this one off and you will have long lasting fire and warmth.
