Melissa & Doug Natural Wood Puzzle Storage Case (Holds 12 Puzzles)

Sad to have to give such a low rating on a Melissa and Doug item! We LOVE all our other Melissa and Doug toys, but this one was a big miss. We asked for it for a birthday gift for our twins, and were so excited to receive it, but it doesn’t fit even our small puzzles. I knew some of the larger square boards wouldn’t fit, just due to the logical fact that they’re bigger than the dimensions of the actual storage box… but when the small puzzles with chunky pieces wouldn’t fit (trucks, dinosaurs, etc), the kids and I were majorly disappointed :( the puzzle pieces bump in to the wire rack inside, rather than fitting between the rungs. You have to take the edge pieces out of their spot and set them on top of the puzzle in order for the puzzle to be able to slide in. The wire rack inside should have just had a bit more spacing between each rung. We cannot return this product, as it was a gift… so one of our friends unfortunately wasted money on a product we can’t even use. Major Bummer.

Puzzles do not fit even though they are also Melissa and Doug brand

I ordered 5 puzzles of this brand and none of them fit

Ordered two separate times and both times had quality issues with damaged and warped wood although packaged well.

Took a chance even though the reviews were bad. 2 out of 10 puzzles of various brands fit, so it just doesn’t serve the purpose it’s supposed to.

I bought this a while back for numerous puzzles that I also purchased to make one large gift. Unfortunately, all of your puzzles don't fit in this. That was pretty disappointing. Why would a manufacturer of both case and puzzles make an error like this. Not sure whether to give up the case or the puzzles.

This does not fit a single Melissa and Doug puzzle that we own. Do not waste your money

It does fit big knob puzzles contrary to other reviews if you skip a row in between.

I don't typically write reviews but I saw the horrible rating on this item that I own. My daughter was a puzzle lover and she had this box filled with Melissa and doug puzzles. I also have a couple other brands in there as well. They need to be actual wooden puzzles for this type of cade to work well and it works best for Melissa and Doug puzzles. Very nice to keep them organized and kts very sturdy and flat so other things van be sat on top of it. Maybe like puzzles that aren't the perfect size. I would definitely recommend this product to others and thats why I'm writing this review. If you're looking to store wooden puzzles, this item is perfect.

This case is a very nice product, but I did not realize that it would not hold the large wooden puzzles that I ordered. The only case that will hold that size puzzle is the wire rack that holds some of both sizes. But I only ordered the larger puzzles, so that would not work for my puzzle storage either.

I was a bit disappointed - not all wooden puzzles fit.

I too, was disappointed with this puzzle storage. 90% of our puzzles are made by Melissa & Doug, so I just assumed they would all fit in the Melissa & Doug puzzle storage case! The chunky block & sound puzzles do not fit well at all. They are so tight that my kids can not get them out to play with them. I wish I had read the reviews for this item before purchasing it.

I ordered this through another site, and didn't realize that the slots are too thin to fit the wooden chunky puzzles. They only fit puzzles with the tiny knobs or flat puzzle pieces. I'm so disappointed that the shelves aren't designed to fit the chunky puzzles, and am sad to realize that M&D don't even have ANY puzzle racks that accommodate the chunky puzzles.

I was gifted this Natural Wood Puzzle Case to hold my Sound Puzzles and I'm very disappointed all around in the product. The texture or feeling of the wood when I ran my fingers over it was rough and unfinished. I thought it would look a little nicer than it did and then I was thinking the Painted Wood Puzzle Case would have been more appealing. Once I got past my initial feeling of the Puzzle Case, I tried my Sound Puzzles out to make sure they fit. To my surprise they didn't fit correctly at all. I measured the Case and realized the measurements in the description on the website are not correct. The correct dimensions are 10.5" x 11.5" x 13" not what the website shows as 10.5" x 9.5" x 14". I then measured my Sound Puzzles and they are 8.75" x 11.75" x 0.75". So when I slid the puzzles into the case, they won't stay on the metal racks securely. Not only that, I can't use all 12 spots in the case because the distance between them is too close. They are only 1" apart and because the Sound Puzzles have little red knobs on each piece, they make the thickness of the puzzle too much to put any of the puzzles in each slot one right after the next. So now I'm stuck with a Puzzle Case that will only fit 6 Sound Puzzles in it unsecured. I would not recommend this Puzzle Case unless you know for sure that your puzzles will fit, even then the Painted Wood Puzzle Case may actually look better than this one.

I took this item back. it's a Melissa and Doug puzzle organizer. My daughter has all Melissa and Doug puzzles. Not one single puzzle fit in this organizer. It's really a shame because it's a nice organizer and I was hoping it was going to be a great way to organize them. Instead I took it back. Not worth the money and not worth keeping it when the puzzles don't fit

I didn't measure my puzzles - I have a stack of wooden Melissa and Doug puzzles and assumed that they were "standard" size. They are not. I've never seen a M&D puzzle in any other size so I didn't even think about it. Product would have been great if my puzzles had fit. Had to return it :(

I bought this to store my daughter's puzzles but unfortunately the chunky & jumbo knob puzzles do not fit. Otherwise a good product it just doesn't work for us.

I bought this knowing that the jumbo knob puzzles would take up two spaces, but what I didn't expect was that many of the regular wooden M&D puzzles would not fit because the raised pieces are too close to the edge. I had to take the pieces out and set them on top in the middle to make it work. Unfortunately, it came in plastic wrap so I can't even return it.
