Not tasty like before
Been craving some Dinty Moore beef stew. Went grocery shopping and bought me a small can. I asked hubby if he wanted me to get a bigger can. He said " no cause it doesn't taste good". OMG he was right. Meat, potatoes and carrots were good. But the gravy tasted greasy and not beefy like before. Noticed it was paler in color too. What have you done to my favorite lunch item?

Yes
Hardly any carrots, and the few you do find, are just small fragments. There used to be several large slices of carrots that were part of a pleasant medley. #BringBackTheCarrots

I would not buy this or accept it for free
I was given the ready to eat single serve portions beef stew and chicken Alfredo. I checked the expiration date before solidifying my opinion; i thought this was dog food after taking a bite of the beef. It doesn't feel like or taste like beef I've consumed before. Maybe it's the brand because I do not buy premade soup. My cat didn't want it either and he's not picky- he eats onions and garlic and taco seasoning. The gravy is plasticky... It gives me the sense of the game of pretend I used to play as a pre-schooler with the plastic food for the playset. I've had MRE's that felt safer to eat than this "meat". I'm not excited to try the others I've been given. I'll probably just eat rice. Thank you for the attempt and thank you for listening.

I love Dinty Moore Beef Stew
My family loves Dinty Moore Beef Stew and it's our favorite canned soup. The stew is hearty and eats like a meal. We love it just plain in a bowl, but it is also very good over rice.

Great product
You must have done something different to it than what it used to be. The flavor is much much better, more beef in it, stew is very tasty. Goes great over rice or biscuits.

Weird taste and textures, NO CARROTS at all!!
I bought the largest can earlier this evening like I have done on many occasions. But once I started eating the stew, I noticed the different taste and texture of the stew. The stew was thicker and tasted different. The meat and potatoes were different too, actually bigger than usual but the potatoes were not cooked right. Meat was ok, but then I realized there were absolutely no carrots in the whole can!! What's going on Dinty Moore?? Did you change your recipe for the bad? I hope not because I will not be buying again if that's the case.

AYO ts is fire
nah, peeps here keep slandering the GOAT of canned beef stews. It tastes good, has a fair 25g of protein in da big can, and is genuinely super simple to make! It's deadahh saved me so much time... 🥹❤️🩹 The only thing I do, is let it reduce/simmer a bit until the stew is nice and dark and thick. You can probably add some cornstarch or flour, too. Aftawords, just serve and enjoy. Whenever I go shopping I always try to get a can; it seriously comes in handy... dats all. try it for yourself; let it simmer until fairly thick. random cool guy out...

Not sure what has changed
So I just opened 5 cans of beef stew. The ones with an expiration date of Sept and Oct 2028… there is definitely something off. They do not taste right and you can actually smell the difference when you open the can. The last can I opened had an expiration date of June 2028 and it is good. I had to trash the other 4 - 20 oz cans because the taste is horrible. So that's about $16 down the drain.

Yes
The winter storm is coming to Texas and we decided to have some comfort food... Beef Stew for dinner.... It was fine, but there was not a single carrot in the can. Disappointed.

Dinty Moore Really gets it Right
I absolutely love how soft the carrots and potatoes are but how the sauce doesn't just stay soupy causing things ordinarily to fall apart. Honestly still one of the best deals out there for the price, I'm proud to say I'm a 30+ year Dinty Moore customer and I love it!

They were good for 30 years. Now its soup.
They had a long run. Nice big chunks of meat you had since you were a kid and a nice broth. Last one I got was like soup, little tiny bits of beef. They'll go out of business and another good brand lost. Investors will get their cashout.

The product in 2026
Dinty Moore canned stew just doesn't taste the same as it did. 55 years ago. I started eating this in 1970 and it just doesn't taste the same. The gravy is a litte 'off" and the meat, well...the meat use to be real meat. THAT'S what made it a cut above the rest.

I will not buy this again.
Why did you have change the meat gravy in your beef stew. It was fine just the way it was. It's like eating a soup not a stew, it's all water, I will not by this again. I have been eating it for as long as I can remember. Thanks for ruining another perfectly good product. Steve

I will no longer buy Dinty Moore Beef Stew
This no longer has chunks of meat. It looks like tiny bits of ground beef. Terrible texture now. So unappetizing!! I will no longer be buying Dinty Moore Beef Stew!

No longer a stew, now a soup
Just a few months ago I ate Dinty Moore beef stew. It was thick and full of large chunks of beef. Just opened a brand new can. It's soup, with very little beef. Won't be buying this anymore.

Smells like canned dog food and tastes like potatoes
I have eaten this product on an off - definitely off now - since I was a child. We used to go camping and would take a few cans with us, but the C-rations and MREs we also took along tasted much better. I challenge the CEO to sit down to a meal of a random can of stew bought at the local market. Smell it, taste it, and look for the beef. Honestly, this could be sooo much better, and it's gone down in quality. Sorry, Hormel -
