[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm going to preface this by saying that I did receive this product (McCormick Au Jus gravy mix) free in exchange for my honest review. Who doesn't love a great French dip sandwich?? And as a family of McCormick lovers when I received this mix it was a no brainer what I'd make! I started with this packet of McCormick Au Jus gravy mix and ended up with a filling delicious meal for our whole family. I put a roast in the crock pot for a couple of hours until it was falling apart and shredded the rest before I got to work on the Au Jus, which was so simple and easy to make! We like ours on the thicker side so I followed the directions on the package and added in the recommended 3 tablespoons of flour and it was the perfect consistency. I toasted up our rolls and was drooling by the time I made all of our plates. The sandwiches were great but McCormick's Au Jus truly elevated the entire meal! It soaked into the bread beautifully and the added thickness to the Au Jus kept the rolls from getting too soft, the flavor paired so well with the roast and I couldn't get enough of it! I will say that next time I will add some coarse black pepper and a little touch of sea salt to taste just for our families preferences but we will definitely be purchasing it for all of our future French dip needs and will continue to be McCormicks biggest fans!

I added 2 tablespoons of flour to my mix (like suggested for a thicker sauce) and it turned out the perfect consistency!
