  • A: I am an adult with a small mouth and this guard is barely long enough, front to back, to fit my back teeth which I clench and grind at night. It is also extremely wide so that eventually it rolls off the stiff bottom pad and I bite through it, through the soft stuff. These only last me a month to three months, and it's getting expensive to keep buying these. The break even point is 3 years for the dentist-provided version. I got about twelve off my last dentist-provided version and it fit much better. But until you can get in, it's a viable alternative, I'm glad this exists, and I really appreciate that Target stocks these!

Good for short-term use.

It’s a good product for short-term use. It’s easy to mold, but won’t fit as smoothly or as lightly as a professionally molded guard. Excess material from molding will create a ridge on the outside, at your inner gum line. It’s mildly annoying to the tongue, but tolerable. Would I recommend it? Depends. Short term use, yes. As a replacement for a professionally fitted night guard, no.

I have a night guard at home but was away on a trip and needed help to prevent pain from clenching my teeth at night. This product was really easy to make, but it didnt reach all the way back to my farthest molars, and it was quite a bit taller than my actually night guard, so it felt a bit too weird for me to fall asleep with.

Den Tek mouth guard

Den Tek mouth guard. I followed directions and it just did not work. I returned it and get my money back. This is one you have to heat in water to mold to custom fit.

Exactly what I needed

Bought multiple times to replace expensive nighttime retainer. It is a mix of soft and medium plastic. For me, it lasts 6 months. The first time I fit it to my mouth I had to heat it twice. Now I’ve got it down.

Works well but I found it functions better on the bottom teeth. I found doing on top teeth doesn’t work that well as it doesn’t stay in place. But molding to the bottom teeth worked great.

Waste of money

I was an optimist—I thought that this would at least tide me over until my next dentist appointment when I could get a fresh bite guard. Not only does it not stay on your teeth, but it’s squeaky too. I can’t imagine this would stay on through the night in any regard and I feel like even in my subconscious state, I would spit it out because it is a sensory nightmare. I honestly want my money back and I don’t say that very often. I put a really disgusting video with this review if you wanna know what I’m talking about, I don’t recommend watching it.

Terrible. I submitted my refund request twice to get a refund of the product and never heard anything back. It’s also not as easy as it sounds, if u don’t get it right the first time then you just wasted ur money.
