Q: Will this chalk stain clothes? I've found that whith most outdoor chalk; when it get s we it tends to stain clothes.

A: It will wash right out in the washing machine. My 18 month old looked like she came back from Woodstock with all the colors on her white onesie, and it came out in the wash without extra stain removers.

there are some great vibrant colors in this set: a pink, reddish pink, blue, yellow and orange. the green is extremely pale and frankly a critical miss. it can’t hold it’s own against these vibrant colors and it ends up looking whitish. this made our watermelon look like a slice of pizza, our turtle looked sickly, and my son loudly said “no” when he saw my attempt at a strawberry. i didn’t bother drawing a tree. i feel that the green on the box exterior is misleadingly bright.

Not at all the colors on the box
The colors on the top and sides of the box are what I wanted. The colors inside are all pastels. Nothing like the colors shown. Washed out and pale versions of those colors.

Actually washable, unlike some others we've used!
We’re at a rental home and have had chalk stain the unsealed pavement (super frustrating) so it was crazy important for us to find something VERY washable. This chalk is great for just that. The pavement we have has tons of grooves in it but we can easily wipe the chalk away with a little water and our hands or little toothbrush for deep grooves. Of course it’s chalk so it’s not crazy strong against a 3yo who colors as hard as he can but once he breaks them in half, he just has double the pieces and hasn’t been able to break them any further than the halfway break point.

The BEST sidewalk chalk
Would be 5 stars but the deep red and the black chalk stain the concrete. We have learned this from experience so we just throw those 2 out as soon as we open the box. Otherwise, this chalk is perfect! Washes off of hands and clothes easily (except for the above mentioned colors) and washes off of concrete with rain or hose. We keep buying and will continue to!

If water alone doesn't do the trick, brush and rinse as much of the chalk stain from the concrete as possible. To remove any residue stains, apply Soft Scrub and work in a circular motion using a brush. Rinse with water. Repeat as necessary. Mix it up with a splash of rain
I love to use wet chalk to color. These worked great after a rain. The colors are so vibrant. I also used them in the dry pavement, the colors appear more pastel. I am glad to have stumbled upon these. I have great photos you can use for advertising if you would like.
